Thanks for joining me again.
Let's go back to Flint, Michigan in the late 60s for the roots of Grand Funk Railroad.
Grand Funk was formed from two different groups.
First, from Question Mark and the Mysterians, came bassist Mel Schacker.
And then, from Terry Knight and the Pack, came Don Brewer and Mark Farner.
Terry Knight stayed on as the producer, and their first album came out in 1969 called On Time.
From it, their first single, a great blues shuffle tune that really gets overlooked on radio today.
In fact, I doubt you'd ever hear this song on any Top 40 oldie station.
Maybe once in a blue moon on rock radio.
It made it all the way up to number 48 on the charts in 1969.
