[A] [Cm]
15 months.
[G] That's how long Yellowstone [Ab] fans had to wait between [G] seasons 3 and 4.
I get it, COVID [Cm] kinda ruins everything.
Season [G] 4 wrapped with [Ab] considerably less mystery and drama.
We know [G] who lives and dies, but don't worry, no [Cm] spoilers here.
The big question is what the heck Casey meant by [Eb] this.
I saw the end of us.
[G] Hey, it's Billy Dukes and if I'm being honest, I'm [Cm] ok waiting a little bit to find out what he meant.
Between [Gm] the emotional final two [Abm] episodes and the weight of the prequel, [G]
[Dm] 1883, [G] I need something
[Ab] a little bit lighter for the spring and the [Gm] summertime.
Recently the [Ab] show's executive producer [G] speculated that shooting would begin in May, [C] but we've
got a [G] date and details about where the new season will film [Ab] and when you can watch it.
[G] Yep, we got a man on the inside, [Cm] so to speak.
Tap follow and give this [G] video a thumbs up if you're happy that [Ab] the Duttons will return
to your television [G] before year's end and [Cm] then let me know what you think Casey meant
by [G] I see the end of us [Ab] in the comments section.
I [G] like to take those comments and emails sent [C] to staff at [Cm] tasteofcountry.com and [Gm] share them
on the Dutton [Ab] Rules podcast where we talk [G] about all things Yellowstone in 1883.
[C] Links for that are in the [Eb] description.
[G] Variety talked to [Ab] David Glasser and he shared some [G] news on season 5.
[Cm] Remember, creator Taylor Sheridan [Eb] is working on several [G] different shows [Ab] right now.
Filming [G] Just Wrapped for 1883, [C] it's believed that filming on the Four [Eb] Sixes Ranch show
is [G] going to start real soon.
[Ab] After that, it's Yellowstone [G] in May.
The idea, [Ab] it seems, is to make sure that one of [C] these shows is on television [G] at pretty
[Eb] much all times throughout the year.
[C] Glasser says, quote,
Quote, [G] it's the prime of [Ab] the show.
I think the show is [Cm] still maturing and there's still a lot of story to tell.
I know with [Ab] Taylor, he's got a lot to [G] say and a lot to write.
He's deep into season [Cm] 5 of Yellowstone now.
He adds that season [G] 5 is [Ab] likely to air in the fall.
[G] It could wind up being another November premiere, but honestly, I'm rooting for a little bit
earlier because that day after [Ab] Christmas slot, oh, [G] that was tough to catch.
Here's where [Cm] our sources clarify a few things.
A media release was [Abm] recently sent [Eb] out to outlets near the Bitterroot Valley in [Gm] Montana.
It was from [Ab] the show's travel and housing coordinator who was trying to drum up some
places for the cast and crew to stay during [G] filming.
Big shout out to Missoula's rock [C] station [Cm] 96.3 The Blaze for this information.
[G] Information [Ab] that confirms filming [Gm] for season 5 isn't moving [Cm] locations.
Once again, the show will be shot near [Gm] the Chief Joseph [Ab] Ranch in the stages in [G] Bonner,
Montana.
This is all in and [Cm] around Missoula near the Idaho border, which makes it [G] one heck of a
[Ab] drive to the train station in Wyoming, [G] but I digress.
[C] We're on the location in a second, but I [Dm] know you came [G] here for date [C] information.
That press [Eb] release states [G] that pre-production is going to begin [Ab] in March [G] with filming set
for May 15th [Cm] to August 15th.
[Eb] That [G] tells me there won't be a whole lot of snow [Ab] in season 5 of Yellowstone.
[G] I have to believe the [Cm] timeline for season 5 might jump from what [G] looked like [Ab] mid to
fall to [G] spring time, [Gm] meaning there's more time for Jamie [Cm] to fall further into [Eb] despair
and [G] enough time for the [Ab] Governor's race to sort of sort [G] itself out in some kind of way.
Is [C] it going to be Governor John Dutton [Eb] by the time this is [Gm] all finished and the show
returns [Ab] in the fall?
Thumbs up this [G] video if you think so, or leave a [Cm] comment below about why not.
I personally think [Dm] Jamie's [Eb] baby mama [Gm] was right when she [Ab] said that he was bluffing on wanting
[G] to be Governor, but my record on these [Cm] things is kind of poor.
We're not going to be jumping [G] right back in [Ab] like we did to start season 4.
[G]
Casey's vision might have [Ab] played itself out, which could mean [C] bad things for [G] Monica [Ab] because
everyone kind of believes [C] she catches the blade on [G] this one.
[Cm] As for filming locations, the area I described is around Missoula, [Gm] where our friends at 94 [Ab].9
KYSS are [G] located.
It's there that we learn [Cm] that Yellowstone threw down [Eb] $16 [G],000 to [Ab] rent the county courthouse,
likely for the [G] scene where Summer Higgins is sentenced [C] to less than a year in prison
for her [Eb] protest.
[G] But maybe for some of the other scenes as well.
It's a Capitol building, it's kind of a [E] regal looking building, [Cm] maybe this is where the
state Capitol is set.
[Ab] That restaurant where Sheriff [Eb] Donnie Haskell gets killed is also a [Ab] real business in Missoula.
Ruby's Cafe rented out the space for one of the saddest deaths of season 4.
[G] It's not clear how much they got [Cm] paid, but it was enough, we're told, for some [G] refurbishing
[Ab] and certainly to replace all the [G] windows that Rip broke.
[Cm] Big thanks to KGVO for that information.
Alright [Ab] so to recap, Yellowstone begins [G] filming on May 15th in and around [Cm] Missoula, MT, wraps
[Eb] in mid-August, [G] and it should be on [Ab] our TVs this fall.
We're [G] going to dive a bit deeper into what is likely [Cm] for this coming season on a future
episode of the [G] Dutton Rules podcast, [Ab] so be sure to check that out [G] in the description
section if you like [C] podcasts.
[G] I'm Billy Dukes for [C] Taste of Country, thanks for watching, and thanks [G] for subscribing.
