Are you ready [Cm] for love?
_ All you need _ is a [Ab] simple blues harmonica, like this one.
_ I know this one is very special [C] because it's Cling And Ease _ Ready For Love Greg's Lab model.
[F] _ But you can have any other blues harmonica model.
This is my harmonica model.
And as you [Gm] can see, I have _ a lot of different harmonicas.
_ They are all in different keys. _
_ _ [A] This is a C harp.
This is an A harp.
_ [Em] _ _ _ [D] And this is a D harp.
_ [A] _ _ _ _ [N] If you want to play along the track Ready For Love, you will need a harmonica in the key of F.
_ You see?
_ And then you just [F] let your harmonica play.

_ _ _ _ [Ab] Are you ready for [Cm] love?
_ _ [Ab] Don't hold your harmonica like this.
[Cm] _ _ _ [F] _ Hold your harmonica in [Ab] your left hand _ like this, _ [C] with the whole numbers facing upwards.
Put your right hand _ behind your harmonica so you can get some really exciting _ effects with your hand.

_ _ _ [C] _ _ [Ab] Are you ready [Cm] for love?
_ The harmonica is all about breathing.
It's the only instrument that you can play _ by actually breathing in and out.
You can get different sounds when you are breathing [F] out _ and [Cm] when you are breathing in. _ _ _ _
When you play the harp, you just breathe in and out [F] and the harmonica will do the rest. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ [F] _
[Ab] _ Are you ready for [C] love? _
Ready For Love is a really exciting and powerful track.
When I recorded [Ab] on it, it inspired me blues playing.
How I get this authentic _ blues sound that you can hear on the track.
The first blues harmonica secret _ is that _ you don't play by blowing out, which would be the most natural.
[F] _ [A] _ _ _
_ But you play by throwing the air in.
[C] _ [Ab] _ _ _ _ [Gm] _ _ [C] _
_ The second [Ab] secret is about the notes I'm using when I'm playing [G] Ready For Love.
[Cm] These are the blue notes.
[Eb] They are hidden notes, [Ab] hidden in the harmonica.
You cannot get them straight away, but using your tongue and your mouth, you can bend some notes _ _ _
_ [G] _ [Ebm] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Cm] and get this beautiful blues sound.
Of course, I have years of practice, so this is something you cannot do just like this.
But even if you are a beginner, you can really have a lot of fun by playing along the track.
_ [C] Grab a harp in F, hold it in the right way, use your hands to the effect and just breathe through your harp.
