[D]
This love album [C#] I ran across in middle school and I think what I like about it [Dm] is it's sort
of a [D] psychedelic album.
Something about psychedelic music offers [Bm] something that you don't get in a lot of other genres.
It allows itself to explore.
I love the blues and in the blues I've got to say Helen Wolfe has got to be my favorite artist.
I remember when we were kids my dad would play this and so it's kind of nostalgic but
it's foreboding [F#] and sinister.
And I had to buy this one because I'm a film nerd.
Ennio [N] Morricone is like my favorite film composer.
And this is one of my favorite movies of all time.
The soundtrack is like [C]
epic in scale.
[A#] This is Big Hits volume 2 [N] so there's a lot of the Hard to Jog Roman, Ruby Tuesday, Jimmy Jack Flash.
And everyone's been a fan of the Stones and I did not recognize this record so I thought
I'd pick it out.
I went for the Lightning Hopkins record because I dig the blues.
I love Lightning Hopkins and again I didn't recognize this.
I thought I'd go for something that I hadn't [D] heard of yet.
[N] And long time Dylan fan so I thought I'd pick this.
I'm recently getting to a lot of his earlier stuff so yeah I thought I'd go with this one.
[D] He made this one in New York.
I got this Clapton [Dm] album.
The thing about Clapton is he always has great players on his records.
Like this one has got Dwayne Allman, [G] Bobby Whitlock, John Wesley Hardy.
This one was a big one for me.
It really made me want to [N] play music.
This was before I even started playing bass.
The way that Bob Dylan made me feel in his music I wanted to go out and I wanted to make
other people feel that way doing what we do.
[A#] So I guess that's what really got me into [N] music.
The Robert Johns stuff because this is the kind of stuff we were listening to before
we were [G] even born really.
[F#] It's really dark stuff and it takes [N] a long time to really understand how deep it is but
I mean really this is some of the best stuff you can ever listen to.
It's more of a clear one.
It has a lot of songs that you wouldn't typically find and that's why I dragged it.
I have a lot of Blues albums at home but none of them have any of these.
I just focus on that for New York.
This one's cool because it basically has all of his better [A#] known songs all the way back
[N] from Buffalo Springfield to Stills Young.
And then the last one which is the one I'm most excited about is the Helplessness Blues album.
Three Foxes.
Josh turned me on to them about two years ago, maybe three years ago.
And I've been following them since.
Even the new [C] release that just came out [E] this summer.
I bought it the day it came out.
I've been looking for this one for a while.
It has some of my [D] favorite songs.
