_ _ _ _ Welcome to the 30th guitar lesson from Keeping Rock Alive.
Today in celebration of John Lennon's birthday, I'm going to teach you
Helter Skelter by The Beatles.
It's pretty easy.
So as a solo, start off with the intro.
You hit the 2nd string 12th fret and open E string and slide down to 3rd fret.
_ And then you hit the 3rd fret 2nd string and open E string for a total of 32 times.
[D] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [E] Then you move down 2nd string 2nd fret and open E string 16 [C#m] times. _ _
_ [C] Then 1st fret on the 2nd string and open E string another 16 times. _
_ _ _ Then you go to a G bar chord and play [G] that 8 times.
_ _ [E] Then you go to an E open chord and play that 8 times.
_ _ _ So the intro should sound [D] like_
_ _ _ _ _ _ [C#m] _
_ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _ [F]
Then you go to the verse which starts just by playing an E open chord [E] 12 times. _ _
_ [D] Play that 5 times in the riff before going back to the G bar chord and play that 12 times.
_ _ _ And then you hit an A [A] open chord.
_ [F] Then after the A open chord you go back to the E open chord and play that another [E] 12 times.
_ _ _ _ So the verse should sound like_
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ Then you go to the chorus which starts with an A power chord twice.
Then on the 4th string [A#] move up to 4th fret and play [A] open 5th string twice.
_ [A#] _ 4th string [E] 5 4 2 5th string 5 [A] 4 2 open.
[E] Then you do the same thing on the 5th and 6th strings.
E power chord twice.
_ On the 4th string move up to 4th and hit [A] that twice.
_ [D] 5th string 5 open.
_ _ [E] _ _ Then you go back to [D#] the first half of that.
[A] _ _ [G#] 4th fret [A] and open 5th string.
And [F#] then on 4th string [E] 5 4 2.
On the 4th string 5 4 2 and then 5th string 5 [A] 4 2 [E] open.
Then [A] _ [C#m] _ _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ _ [C#] _ _ [A] _
_ _ [N] you go to a bridge which starts with the open E [E] string and hit that.
And [G#] then on the 5th fret of the [Em] 2nd string bend and hit repeatedly for about 12 times.
[C#] _ _ _ _ [G]
And release.
Then you go back to the [E] verse.
_ Then again you go to the [C#] chorus.
_ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
[C#m] _ _ _ [A] _ _ _ [D#] _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Then comes the guitar solo.
You start off by playing [F]
2nd string 12th fret and 3rd string 13th fret [C#m] twice.
Then on [F] 1st string 15th bend. And again.
2nd string _ _ [E] 15th bend.
_ 3rd string 14th bend.
_ 4th string [Em] 14th bend.
2nd string 12th bend.
[G#] 3rd string 12th bend. _
[A#] 3rd string 12th bend.
[C] _ _ _ 4th [C#m] string 14th bend.
_ _ _ _ [G#] _ _
_ _ [C#] _ _ [G#] _ _ _ _
_ [E] _ _ Then you play an interlude which is a variation of the intro.
you play third fret on the second string an open E string for 16 times _ _ _ _ _
_ [C#m] and _ _ [E] _ _ [C] _
then
_ _ [N] _ you go back to the G bar chord for another for 8 [G] times then _ _ [E] to the E open
chord for another 8 times _ then [N] _ _
you go back to the verse then after the verse
you go back to [A] the chorus then _ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ _ [N] _ for the outro you play the open [E] 6th string _ [D] _ _ _ [C#m] _ _ [B] _
_ [G#] 5 4 2 [E] open _ _ _
then you go back play it again [D] 5th string 5 [B] 4 2 [G#] 6th string 5 4 2 [E] open so the
outro should sound like you _ _ _ _ _ [G] repeat that until the end of the song which is
just a bunch of [C] sound effects thanks for watching please rate and comment or
