This is the old Tull song, Dunringill, Ian Anderson favorite.
You're starting in the key in the A minor chord and you're going to do a little walkdown
on the E chord, the bass E chord.
It starts off in a sort of backwards sweep pattern.
[A] So you're hitting five strings, five, [Am] two, three, five, five, two, three.
Then you're going to go down to that first drop down on this walkdown on the E string
is on the third fret.
So [G]
now you're hitting the [F#] sixth string on the third fret and that same two, three pattern.
Then [D] you're bringing your [E] middle finger up to the second fret on the E [F#] string.
This is when it starts to go to a slightly rocking pattern instead of the, you want [D] [Bm] [D] to
lift off that string.
So it's sixth, third, fourth, second, off, second, [B] second.
But you're lifting off your index finger.
[A] [Bm] Then to a D chord in the same rocking [D] pattern, hit the full D, four, two, three, one, one,
pull off the middle [Gm] [D#] finger.
Then that finger you just pulled off, pull that up to the fifth string third fret.
[G]
Sort of almost a C chord.
[D]
[A] And you're almost back into that backwards sweep pattern.
You start with the
[D] five, two, [C] three, one, but then you're going back [D] down, two, three,
[D] back into the A [A] minor.
[G]
[Bm] [D] [A] [Am] [G]
[D] [D] [A]
[G] [Bm] [D]
[A] [D]
[A] [Am]
[D] [E]
Now you're in that weird C there [G] when you get to the chorus.
[Cm] [D]
Then you're going to switch to just a regular C [C] and then we house out, [D] meet you.
To D, G, [G] down by done, [F] F, ring ill, back to the A minor.
Oh, and [A] we'll watch the [F#] old ghost [D] play.
[Am]
[A] By done ring ill,
[A] by done [D] ring ill.
[D] [G] So again, it's [C] C, house out, [D] D, G, [F]
back to the [E] A.
[G]
[D] [Bm] [Am]
[D]
[D]
Hope you have fun with it.
