And now we'll look at Out of My Head by Fastball.
So structurally this song is really simple.
It's a short song, more or less just a verse and a chorus.
But there are some kind of tricky chords in it, but that's okay.
It's not too bad.
So you're going to start off with an E.
[E]
Then you're going to go to an [A#] A flat minor, I [G#m] guess.
[A#] So there you're barring across the fourth fret, and then the sixth fret on the [G#m] A and D.
[A] Then to an A.
Then an [E] E.
[C] So, so [E] far you've got
[G#m]
[A] [E]
Now you're going to go to one of those [N] kind of tricky bar chords.
This is an F sharp 7.
7th, whatever you say.
So it's basically a bar across the second fret.
The fourth fret on the [E] A.
[C] And then the third fret [A#m] on the G.
[F#]
And from there you're going to go into a B7.
Which is like a normal B, [N] but you don't hit the fourth on that G string.
So it's [F#m] bar across.
And then the fourth on the D and the [B] fourth on the B.
So, [E]
[G#m]
[A] [E] [F#]
[B]
[Bm] so again that F sharp [F#] 7th is like that.
And then the [B] B7, like that.
Then you're going to repeat.
[E]
[G#m] [A]
[E] [F#] [B]
Now you're going to go to the chorus.
And the chorus is going to [E] start with an E.
[Am] And into [B] a B.
[E] [B] C [C#m] sharp minor.
Which [B] is barring across the fourth fret on the A through high E.
[F#]
[C#m] And then fourth on [F#] the G, or sorry D.
[C#] Fourth on the G.
[F#] And third, or, crap, [G#] sorry.
Sixth on the [A#m] D.
Sixth on the G.
[E] Fifth on the B.
[C#m] So, so [E] far on the chorus.
[B] [C#m]
[F#] Then back [E] to an E.
And you're going to go to an E7.
To go to the E7, just lift up [A#] your finger off of [E] the D.
E.
[Bm]
[E] [B] [C#m]
[E] [A] A.
[E] Back to E.
[F#]
That's that F sharp 7 again.
[B] B7.
Repeat.
[E] [B] [C#m]
[E] [A] [E]
[F#] [B] And then the last chord, if you're doing the first chorus around, just go back to [E] an E.
And it continues on through the lead [A#m] part.
If you're ending the song, go to an A.
[E] So, [A]
[E] [F#] [B]
[A] [B]
and that is Outta My Head by Fastball.
[N]
