[D] Hello!
[Bm]
Here [D] come the mummies.
[G] Are planning to put out a new record, [D] and they really want to knock this one out [G] of the park.
Recording, [B] and effectively promoting, [E] that record can cost [D] a few shekels.
So I broke [Em] it to the guys as [E] gently as I could, [B] they might have to get day [E] jobs.
[B] I've gotta give them credit, they were [E] good sports about the whole thing.
[B] But somehow, [E] 3000 year old Egyptian mummies just [D] don't fit into modern times very [E] well.
I [B] don't want to use the word [Bm] disaster, [E] so let's call it a [D] debacle.
Take a look.
[B]
[G] KW Tut [B] started a professional dog walking series.
He really threw himself into it too.
[Bm] Well, part of [D] himself anyway.
[C] Spaz became a pizza delivery boy.
He [A#] worked for 30 [G] minutes or less, and totally [B] misunderstood the phrase stuffed crust.
[D] [G] [E]
Mummy Kass thought he'd make [C#m] a [G] good handyman.
Turns out, he's [D] less handy than he thought.
[Em]
Way less handy.
[C#m] [Bm] Eddie Mummy has received numerous compliments on his package of abscenders.
So why not make good delivering packages, right?
[G]
Well, he just ended up [B] putting the mess in Bike [G] Messenger.
[B] Overqualified as the builders of the ancient world's most technologically advanced [G] marvels,
some [D] of the boys [B] even went to [C] work for a major electronics retailer.
[E]
And they nailed it.
[Bm] [Em]
[D] Java tried [G] his hand at house painting.
The [B] urge to self express, however, was [G] way too strong to hide.
[E]
[Em] When you turn out to be a lemon, and almost everything in life,
do not, under any circumstances, try to make lemonade.
[E] Don't make a lemonade stand, or don't stand anywhere close to a lemon.
To be safe, just cut out fruit entirely.
Because things can get ugly.
This is, it's a little [G] painful.
[B] Clearly, a new approach to fundraising is needed.
It's best to let Here [C] Come the Mummies focus on what they're great [D] at, making [Em] music.
[B] So, check out some of the ways you can [G] help them out,
and [D] some of the fun stuff you can get in [E] return.
[B]
On behalf of Here [A] Come the Mummies, [C] thanks a lot.
