It's a blessing, it's a huge blessing,

I've got seven people in my band,
and things are just taking off really well,
so it's really nice.

I heard you guys tuning things up,
firing up a little bit.

But let's get into your background.
How'd you come up with the name, Hiree?
Hiree, you know, it's [Db] Iree.
We're that big reggae term.
[D] And then you have Hawaii, the state of Hawaii,
so it's all caps, [D] Hiree.
And Hiree to me, it's a [Dm] lifestyle, you know?
Something about reggae, unlike any other genre,
I think it's just the positive vibes you get
when you listen to the music.
The musicians, everyone is positive.
Everybody wants to be [A] above the influence.
Is this something you've always focused on was reggae,
or have you always thought about maybe doing some pop
or other styles of music?
Yeah, definitely.
Personally, I don't [D] have a Jamaican accent
or anything like that,
and I think I write with a pop structure.
So reggae has always been in my blood.
I grew up in Hawaii, so.
Let's talk about your video.
You've got 20,000 views.

Is it 35,000 now?
When you see your video online,
on the YouTubes and stuff like that,
how does that make you feel?
How does it make you feel when I said you see your face
on the cover, and how does it make you feel

You know, I just think it's [C] really, it's unreal right now.
I'm still wrapping my head around it,
but I mean, we're all working so hard to make things happen,
so we're just trying to enjoy the ride.
