Really excited to break down this classic rock tune for you guys.
It's all fun power chord stuff.
Here we go.
Alright, this is the fun power chord zone.
So we're going to do an E power chord right here, and it's going to be 7 on the A, 9 on
the D. _ _ _
Then we're going to go to [A] the 5th fret on the E root power chord.
So 5 and [E] 7.
_ _ So we do that one, and then da da.
So E, A, [C#] A.
Then we go up to the 9th fret power chord, E, _
[B] _ and then a whole step down to 7.
So that first chord's got the root on the A, the other three are on the E string.

[B] _ _ _ [E] _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ [B] _
So [E] that second part _ [A] _ _ starts the same, then you go up to 9 and you go da [E] _ _ _ _ _ _

[B] And [E] _ [A] _ _ _ [B] _
[E] notice that little rhythm, da da da da.
_ [A] _ _
[B] _ _ [E] _ [A] _ _ _ _ _

Same E chord, _ _ _ but then you slide your index finger down a half step.

_ _ _ _ [C#] _ [G#] Then to the 4th fret, [E] A string power chord.
_ [C#] _ Now this is the type of song where I play power chords with my pinky and index finger,
[E] and it's mainly because of that kind of stuff.
_ [C#] _ You'll see some players, some famous players [E] use their pinky instead of their ring finger.
That's up to you, but it's kind of comfortable and it also kind of helps with muting the strings.
[A] _ _ [C#] _ _ _
_ _ [C#] _ _ [E] And my hand's just kind of frozen in a shape with pressure on my horns there.
_ _ [A] _
_ _ [B] _ _ [A] _ _ _ [B] _
_ [A] _ _ [C#] _ [B] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ _ [C#] _ _
_ Then it's [G#m] A, B, and I'm going to play it right here.
5th fret, E root, [B] _ up to 7. _ _
_ [E] _ _ [G#m] _ [C#] _ _ _ [B] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[B] _ _ _ [C#] _ _ [A] _ _ [E]
So check out that verse one more time really slow, either way. _

[B] _ _ _ _ _ _ And if you were, there is a little bridge breakdown where they're kind of picking out
the actual full chords [E] and it's an E major [D#] with that [E] voice leading down, [B] _ _ [C#m] and that's a
C sharp minor, [A] and then A major, B major.
