[Dbm] _ [Ebm] So this tutorial will be on Hold Me Down by [Eb] Daniel Caesar from his album Frozen.
This is [E] one of my [Eb] favorite albums of the past few months.
I'm pretty sure you guys have [Abm] listened to it already.
_ So if you did like it let's go straight to the tutorial.
[Gb] _ _ [Eb] _ [Ebm] _ _ _
[G] So that's a D sharp [Db] minor 7.
And so you [Eb]
play a [G] bar on the 6th fret, then your middle finger is on the 7th fret [B] 2nd
[Gm] string, your ring finger is on the [Gbm] 8th fret [E] 4th [Ebm] string.
_ And so you play all the chords and then you will hammer on [E] the 9th fret 2nd string.
[Ebm] _
_ [Bb] _ [Gb] _ _ _ [Ab] _ The second chord is a B major 7.
[B] _ _ _ _ And so you have [Eb] your index on the 7th fret 6th string, your ring finger on the 8th fret
4th string and your pinky [E] on the 8th fret also but 3rd [B] string. _
_ _ And you play E, D and G strings.
_ _ _ _ So [Em] the following part is just a small picking pattern which is like that.
[E] _ [Db] _ [Em] _
_ _ So first [Eb] of all you put your [Em] index and your middle finger [E] on the 8th and [Am] 9th fret on the
3rd string and you just do a really simple hammer so just like that.
[Eb] _ _ _ [A] _
[Eb] _ _ _ [A] _ _ [Eb] _ _ _
_ Alright?
And then [Am] your [A] _ _
[Db] pinky will [C] go on the 11th fret 4th string, [B] _
your middle [Dm] finger will go on
the 9th fret 4th string.
So all together [E] it's hammer.
[Db] _ _ [Em] _ _ _ [A] _ [Db] _
[B] _ [G] So the second part is the exact same chord as the beginning so D sharp minor 7 and B major 7.
We're just gonna change the picking pattern at the end.
_ [Ebm] And _ [B] _ _ _ _
_ _ he will play _ [Gb] F [B] sharp, D sharp, [G] B. _
[Eb] F is on the 7th fret 2nd string, _ B sharp is on the [Em] _ _ _ 8th fret 3rd string _ and B is on the
9th fret 4th string.
