Firstly, this is a beginner friendly lesson, so all beginners out there,
shout out to you guys.
So, we have start tuning and we will be putting the capo on fret 5.
So capo on fret 5.
We just have two chords.
[Bb] Easiest chord shapes out there, we got A minor,
we have B string 1st fret, ring finger on G string [D] 2nd fret, middle finger on D string 2nd [A] fret,
top string muted, [D] open A, open E.
[Dm] _ _ Then we [Am] have a E minor chord.
I got open top string,
2nd fret on A and D and we have open bottom strings.
_ These are the two chords which you
need for the whole song and we will just be alternating between these two.
[D] So we have, _
[Dm] _ _ _ _ this is the string pattern, let's break down.
A minor chord, you hit the A string [D] and [G] then you
go for a [Dm] downstroke, then you go for a upstroke.
_ _ So we have, _ _ _ after that I will do [Ab] this.
It's
a slap which is when your palm is on top [D] of the string and then you do a downstroke which
gives you that muting sound, muting effect, right?
_ _ [Ab] We don't want that.
So [Dm] down, down,
up, slap, then you go for a up, down, up.

[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
I will do it twice [G] on every
chord.
We got [D] A minor, [Dm] _ _ _

then it goes [B] to a E minor chord.
What I will do for this chord
shape is I will play the top string instead of the A string and everything else will be
the same.
