[F] And you, [C] [F] that accidents can happen
Never had an impression of [C] being a band.
[F] And I do think there was one day when [Am] we were writing,
I think it was when we were over at my studio and we were writing [F] Accidents Can Happen,
and we got about halfway through that song,
and we all kind of looked at each other and went,
you know, this is really, you know, this is really something that [Dm] we hope has a long life
and that we can all be involved in for quite some time.
I think it was that day that we all thought, well, wouldn't it be fun to actually [Gm] play this stuff live?
And that was the thing, wouldn't it be fun?
[C] Then we turned the record in and it was just called [F] The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack.
And it was the soundtrack [Dm] to the book.
And [G] that's when management started going, [C] what's the name of the band?
We're [F] not really a band.
And he goes, [E] you don't understand the radio [Dm] and all the portals out there,
[F] all the video portals, all the [Db] web portals are all [C] loving this and they want to support it.
So what's the name of the [E] band because you guys are going to want to [G] do this again.
And we had [Bbm] those thoughts, like, wouldn't it be great to do this again?
[F] And that's when we came up with the band name.
I think the band name solidified it, but we've emotionally kind of already made that commitment.
Yeah, and you know, [C] all the bands out [F] there are going to understand this.
Coming [A] up with a band name is such a drag.
It's the least fun part of the entire musical experience.
And so there was a [C] day we were all sitting down, after we'd [F] gotten that call from [Db] management saying,
you know, you guys should have a [D] band name.
And we were all sitting [Dm] around one of our studios just going,
can [B] you guys believe that we're having to [Bb] sit here and come up with a band name after all these [Gm] years?
It was actually harder to come up with [C] a band name than it was to write any of these songs.
We wrote the [F] album, it was effortless.
The [C] band name was a [D] pain in the ass.
[Dm] And I still have text messages from [Gm] these guys.
It got to the point where it was [C] just like, you were sending ridiculous things.
[F] And [Em] DJ, I believe, [Dm] is the one that said 6am.
[A] And I went, that's cool, number [C] 6am.
And tying into the heroin diary, I thought [G] it was kind of cool because it was 6am in the [Bb] morning.
Is that when you're coming down or is that when you're getting up?
It's [F] just a really [C] interesting hour.
I [F] just thought it was really good and then he said, no, like 6, and then A for Ashvin, [C] M for [F] Michael.
And I went, no.
[Dm] There's not going to be [Am] a band with my [Bb] name.
For the record, I was pushing to [Gm] just call the band 6.
[E] That was my vote.
[G] I wanted to call it Ashva.
He wanted to call it [Bb] Ashva.
I was for that [Am] before 6.
[Gm] So we settled on it and enough people have gone, you know that's a [C] clever name.
And it's brilliant.
Most people don't even [G] know what [Em] it really stands for, [A] probably.
But actually it's like three producers, three [G] songwriters.
It makes sense.
[D] And there's actually a lot of irony.
[C] Remember when we were doing that radio show and we found out that that [G] day [D] that 6am are actually
It's the [Dbm] scientific numbers for a chemical in [C] heroin.
Which none of us knew.
That's true.
[G] It's also the hour the DJ never wakes up at.
Exactly.
And now it haunts me because I'll be drifting off and the news guy's like, 6am, da da da.
I'm like, ah.
I feel like I'm late to a photo shoot or something.

This can happen and it's [C] okay.
