Hello guys, this is Amosdollmusic and in today's lesson
I'm going to teach you how to play the very awesome 20th century Fox that opening theme that goes like this.
Give you a quick preview
It goes like this
[Cm] [Ebm] [F]
[Bb]
Okay, let's get right into it so [Gb] let's break it up to parts to [G] learn this okay
So how many parts you break it up into?
One two
Two three four.
Okay, so about I guess we're gonna break it up into about uh, four parts
So it's easier to learn or three parts.
Okay.
So the first part right hand goes like this starts on the f up here
So middle c is here for reference.
We go up an octave to this c we go to the f
That's where we start on so [Bbm] it goes f plus another three f's one two three
[B] And then it goes g flat f alternating for that for uh, three times.
[Gb] So one two three
And then another [C] three fast f's one two three
And then we have like six f's in a row as well.
One two, [B] three, four [C] five six
d [Ab] e flat
Okay, [Db] so, uh, yes, um, and then another
Three f I guess here we go
Actually, no, the other three f's will be the next part.
Okay, since there's a lot of notes already here
So that is the first part for the right hand one more time for this first part.
So let's go through it again
So it [F] goes f
F f f and then g g flat f for three [Gb] times one two
[C] Three and then another [F] three fast f's one two three and then plus another six slower f's one two, three, [G] four five six
[Ab] D e flat.
Okay, so [Ebm] that's the first part.
So when it's faster it goes
[Bb] Like that, [Db] okay
Just like the original that's right hand.
Okay left hand
We have two chords here for the first part.
The two chords are [D] two b flat major [Bb] chords
Which is b flat d f so two of them, okay?
So the two b flat major chords in mind [Cm] the two hands together goes like this f and b [Abm] flat major together.
So it [Bb] goes together
And then the f and b flat major together
And that is the first part one more time for this first part.
So it goes like this goes together
Like that now moving on to the uh, [Db] second part, okay
The second part right hand [Bbm] continues goes f and then plus another three fast f's
And then down to the b flat
[Bb]
D f [Em] g down to e flat for [Abm] once and then another three fast e flats one, two, three
[F] [Ebm] and then
[F] Go down c
[Ebm] E flat g up to b [B] flat.
Okay, that's the second part.
[C] Let's just break it up like that.
So it's easier to learn
Okay, so one more time.
So this second part for right hand goes
F and then three fast [F] f's one two three [Bb] down to b flat [Cm] d f g
Down to e flat and another three fast e flats one two three
Down to c e flat g up [Gb] to b flat and that's the right hand [F] for the second part
Okay, once you get that left hand we have two chords here for this second part
The two chords [Bb] are b flat major which is b flat d f and then the second chord is [Cm] c minor which is c e flat g
So these two chords [Bb] in mind so b flat [Cm] major followed by c minor the two hands together goes like this goes [G] f and b flat
Major together so it's [Bb] together
Right hand continues
E flat and [Cm] c minor together
Right hand continues [Cm] like that [B] and that is that for the second part one more [Bb] time.
So it goes together
Together
Like that, okay
Now moving on to the third and last part of this section right hand continues down to the e flat
And then three fast e [B] flats down [C] to c e flat [Gb] g flat b flat [C] and then down to f d e flat
[F] Like that for the right hand, okay one more time so it goes like this
Uh, let [Bb] me see.
Yeah, so it goes e flat and then three fast e flats down [C] to c e [Gb] flat g flat b flat down to f
[F] d e flat [Fm] f
And that's the right hand for this third part.
[C] Okay, so that's that left hand
We have three chords here the three chords are c half diminished which is a um four note chord
c e flat g flat b flat
Yeah, a lot of things that I search online
It doesn't use this chord for some reason but I [Gb] reckon this one really sounds more close to the [B] original the c half diminished
Okay for this chord and then goes to uh passing to f major [F] which is f a c
And then the third chord is b [Bb] flat major which is b flat d f
[C] Okay, so with these three chords at minus is c half diminished f [Bb] major and b flat major the two hands together goes like [B] this
So the first note on the [C] right hand goes with the chords with a c half diminished together
Last [A] e flat and f major together right continues
[F]
[Dm] and
F [Bb] and b together just like that
One more time just goes like [C] this.
It goes together
[F]
And then
[Bb]
Together and that's it for this third part.
Yeah.
Okay.
So back to back all three parts would just be playing like this check it out.
So
[Cm]
[C] [F] [Bb]
Okay, so yeah, that's pretty much it so after you got this melody and chord version out of the way
Then you can start adding more stuff.
Like for example combine the right hand with the chords
So yeah, obviously that requires a bit more.
Um some I guess finger agility because you're actually um
Spreading your hand bigger so it's actually harder to press and stuff
But anyway for something like my cover I did the cover for this song as well
Like uh, you can check out the cover
I did like a lot of left hand octave basses plus another just like all the chords like i'm based on the uh,
Like it's more stretched out chords on the left hand.
So like this so something like this i'll give you a preview right now
[Cm] [C]
[F] [Bb]
Yeah
Something like that.
Okay, so yeah, it's [N] a bit different to my cover
But you get the point so you can do all these like extra
Left hand bass notes based on the chords that I taught you is still the same thing
It's all the same chords and same everything that I taught you but it's just improvisations made up on the spot Okay But anyway
If you want to learn more piano from me learn how to improvise how to read sheet music how to play by ear and all that

_ _ Hello guys, this is Amosdollmusic and in today's lesson
I'm going to teach you how to play the very awesome 20th century Fox that opening theme that goes like this.
Give you a quick preview
It goes like this _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Cm] _ _ _ _ _ [Ebm] _ _ [F] _
_ _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ _ _
Okay, _ _ let's get right into it so [Gb] let's break it up to parts to [G] learn this okay
So how many parts you break it up into? _ _ _ _ _
One two
Two _ three four.
_ Okay, [Db] so, uh, yes, um, and then another
Three f I guess here we go
Actually, no, the other three f's will be the next part.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Bb] Like that, [Db] okay
Just like the original that's right hand.
Okay left hand
We have two chords here for the first part.
The two chords are [D] two b flat major [Bb] chords
Which is b flat d f so two of them, okay? _
_ So the two b flat major chords in mind [Cm] the two hands together goes like this f and b [Abm] flat major together.
So it [Bb] goes together _ _ _
_ _ And then the f and b flat major together _ _
_ _ _ And that is the first part one more time for this first part.
So it goes like this goes together _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Like that now moving on to the uh, [Db] second part, okay
The second part right hand [Bbm] continues goes f and then plus another three fast f's
_ And then down to the b flat
_ [Bb]
D f [Em] g down to e flat for [Abm] once and then another three fast e flats one, two, three
[F] _ [Ebm] and then
[F] Go down c
_ [Ebm] E flat g up to b [B] flat.
_ _ Right hand continues _
E flat and [Cm] c minor together
_ _ _ Right hand continues _ [Cm] like that [B] and that is that for the second part one more [Bb] time.
So it goes together _ _ _ _ _
Together
_ _ _ _ Like that, okay
Now moving on to the third and last part of this section right hand continues down to the e flat
And then three fast e [B] flats down [C] to c e flat [Gb] g flat b flat [C] and then down to f d e flat
_ _ [F] Like that for the right hand, okay one more time so it goes like this
Uh, let [Bb] me see.
_ _ Last [A] e flat and f major together right continues
_ [F] _ _
_ [Dm] and
F [Bb] and b together just like that
One more time just goes like [C] this.
It goes together
[F] _ _
_ _ _ And then
_ [Bb]
Together and that's it for this third part.
Yeah.
Okay.
So back to back all three parts would just be playing like this check it out.
So _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _ [Bb] _
_ _ _ _ Okay, so yeah, that's pretty much it so after you got this melody and chord version out of the way
Then you can start adding more stuff.
Like for example combine the right hand with the chords
So yeah, obviously that requires a bit more.
Um some I guess finger agility because you're actually um

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Cm] _ _ _ _ _ [C] _ _ _
[F] _ _ _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ Yeah
Something like that.
Okay, so yeah, it's [N] a bit different to my cover
