Hello guys, this is AmosDollMusic and in today's lesson, I'm going to teach you a quick tutorial
on how to play the very catchy chorus of the new song by Charlie and Selena Gomez.
It's called We Don't Talk Anymore.
It's really catchy.
The start of the song starts off with this chorus already and then it repeats over and
over again throughout the whole song.
So I'm going to teach you this chorus.
It'll be very short because it's only this chorus.
So let's just show you how it sounds like first.
So for two hands, it'll go something along this line including the [F#m] improvisation as well.
So [A]
[B] [C#m]
[G#] [G#m]
[A] [B]
[C#m]
[G#] [G#m]
that is [F#] the improvised version of it, the advanced version of it.
But everything is based on the basic form of it including my notes that I write, just
like letter names.
It is just the melody plus the chords and everything else in my video is improvised
on those things.
So let's jump straight into teaching those stuff right now.
The melody on the right hand.
So the melody on the right hand starts off with F sharp.
This F sharp is
This is middle C, right?
So we go up this C, F sharp is there.
So F sharp, [D#] G sharp, G [F#] sharp, F sharp, [C#] E, C sharp.
[F#] Then F sharp, G sharp, G [C#m] sharp, F sharp, [Cm] E, D sharp.
[F#] Then F sharp, G sharp, G sharp, F [A] sharp, E, [C#] C sharp.
And then C sharp, [D] D sharp, E, B, [F#] A, G sharp, [C#m] G sharp.
Okay.
So that's the first line of the [C#] chorus.
Let's repeat that first line of the chorus again.
So F sharp, G sharp, G [C#m] sharp, F sharp, [D#] E, C sharp.
[F#] F sharp, G sharp, G sharp, F sharp, [D#m] E, D sharp.
F sharp, G sharp, G sharp, [C#] F sharp, E, C sharp.
C sharp, D sharp, E, [F#] B, A, G sharp, G [C#] sharp.
So that's the first line.
And now let's put the left hand, the chords, let's learn that now.
So the chords [A] is really simple [Em] in this [D#] song.
It's basically, there's only four chords in this whole song.
Repeat it over and over and over again, including the verses as well.
So the four chords is this.
A [A] major, A, C sharp, E, followed [B] by B major, B, D sharp, F sharp,
followed by C sharp [C#m] minor, C sharp, E, G sharp.
And then the fourth chord in this four chord series is G [G#m] sharp minor,
G sharp, B, and D sharp.
And that is all the chords in the whole song.
For those guitar players, you can already play and sing this song already.
So it's basically, yeah, you have the chords already.
You can be like, what is it?
[A] We don't talk anymore.
We don't [B] talk anymore.
[C#m]
[G#m]
Etc.
I forgot how [G] the song sounds like, but I already played it out.
Silly me.
Anyway, so those are the four [A] chords.
[B] A major, B major, [C#m] C sharp minor, [G#m] and G sharp minor.
So let's put the hands together.
[C#] The right hand starts off first.
And then after the C sharp, [A] A major plays by itself.
Right [C#] hand goes again.
After the D sharp, B major chord by [B] itself.
[F#] After the C sharp, C sharp minor by [C#m] itself.
And then, last G sharp is G sharp minor chord [G#m] together.
Like that.
Okay?
Let's go one more time.
So, [D#] I'll say when you have to press it.
So, right hand starts first.
[A]
Here.
[F#m] [B] Here.
[C#m] Here.
[G#m] Together.
Yeah?
Seems [C#] pretty easy, right?
[A] [B]
[C#m] [G#m]
So based on those basic chords, as I showed you before,
you can add all the extra [C#] stuff with your left hand [A] [D#m] and your right hand based on those chords.
Because it's all the [C#m] same thing anyway.
[A]
[C#] [A] [B]
[C#m]
[G#m] Yeah.
Something like that.
I had mental blank, stuffed [F#] a little bit.
So anyway, who cares.
Let's do the second line now.
We're just here to have fun.
So, all we
Ah, super mental blank, sorry.
Okay, so the next line is pretty much exactly the same until the last four notes.
So, the next line is the same.
[A] [F#m] [B]
[C#m]
Yep.
And now, this is the only thing different.
On the right hand, instead of going to B, A, G sharp,
it goes to C sharp, B, [A] A, and then finish on G sharp and [G#m] G sharp together.
So that's the only difference between the first line and second line.
Pretty easy, right?
So, let's do the second line one more time again.
[C#] So,
[A] [B]
[C#m] here,
[G#m] together.
Yeah.
So, instead of B, A, G sharp on the first line,
we do C sharp, [A] B, A for those three [G#] notes.
And we just substitute and exchange it between each other.
So, that's pretty much it.
So, if we put it all together, it will sound something like this.
What you have.
[A] [F#m] [B]
[C#m]
[G#m]
[A] [F#m] [B]
[C#m]
[G#m] Okay.
It's pretty straightforward, right?
Yeah, it's a really nice tune.
You can play it forever and just have fun with it.
So, I guess, yeah.

And _ then, _ _ _ _ last G sharp is G sharp minor chord [G#m] together. _
Like that.
_ _ Okay?
Let's go one more time.
So, _ _ [D#] I'll say when you have to press it.
So, right hand starts first.
_ [A] _
Here.
[F#m] _ _ _ [B] Here. _ _
_ _ [C#m] Here. _ _ _ _
[G#m] _ Together.
Yeah?
Seems [C#] pretty easy, right? _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ [B] _ _ _
_ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _ _ [G#m] _
_ _ _ So based on those basic chords, as I showed you before,
you can add all the extra [C#] stuff with your left hand [A] [D#m] and your right hand based on those chords.
Because it's all the [C#m] same thing anyway.
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
[C#] _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ [B] _
_ _ _ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _
_ [G#m] _ _ _ _ Yeah.
Something like that.
I had mental blank, stuffed [F#] a little bit.
So anyway, who cares.
_ Let's do the second line now. _ _
We're just here to have fun.
So, all we_
Ah, super mental blank, sorry.
Okay, so the next line is pretty much exactly the same until the last four notes.
So, the next line is the same.
_ [A] _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ [B] _ _
_ _ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _
[C#] So, _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ [B] _ _ _
_ _ [C#m] here, _ _ _ _
[G#m] _ together.
Yeah.
So, instead of B, A, G sharp on the first line,
we do C sharp, [A] B, A for those three [G#] notes.
And we just substitute and exchange it between each other.
So, that's pretty much it.
So, if we put it all together, it will sound something like this.
What you have.
_ [A] _ _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ [B] _
_ _ _ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [G#m] _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ [B] _ _ _
_ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _ _ _
[G#m] _ _ _ _ Okay.
It's pretty straightforward, right?
Yeah, it's a really nice tune.
You can play it forever and just have fun with it.
So, I guess, yeah.
