We're gonna get right into it here Jerry read don't think twice.
It's alright
Opening riff is a D flat
Kind of like a power chord shape one way to one way to look at it
I suppose is you got the fourth fret and the sixth fret [F] of your a and D string and he does this little riff
[C#] and so he's going between
Open G string [G] and a flat and then he [C#m] hits the D again with the pinky
[G#] Back up to the a flat and then back [G] to the open G again to get that [C#] twice pinky on
Back up to the D string and then off to the open G
[F]
[G] Now you [C#m] could do it like this with your fingers
[C#] I think probably it's probably more likely that Jerry Reid is using his thumb and then index finger
[F]
Just [C#] kind of feels us
[G] That's probably more likely the way he would do [F] it
Okay
Okay, we'll move on to the next riff son.
Here [F#] we go up to the blues to turn around
[E] You can use that little riff in a lot of a lot of blues songs if you like.
That's a great
Turn around to you.
I'll give you the notes for it second fret on the top string [F#] third fret on the bottom
[G#] Then it's the fourth on the low E and it's the second fret on the high E
Then you have open a and [A] open E string
Then you have B flat and D on the a [A#] and B string
Then you have B on the a string [B] and then open B
[D#] Then we have two on a on the G string and then four up here on your a string
so you have [A] a and C sharp and [D#] you have E flat here on the D and
Open G string [E] and then E chord and [A] remember Jerry Reid if you play Jerry Reid music a lot of times songs will resolve back
To E you [E] want to do that?
variation
[Em] Okay, another common one.
[F#] [E] I
Guess that's another thing to do
Anyway, that's a good trick to do every time you come back to any
Kind of gives us another example of a song
Mystery Train does that?
Okay
So let's do it again.
So yet.
[G#] [A] [B]
[E] Okay, so all together [C#] from the top
We're gonna do that opening rap
[G] [A#]
[B] and then you just go through a common [E] Chet Atkins Merle Travis finger [B] picking
[E] Style through the chords of the song.
I guess do it one more time.
Then I'll roll through the chords
Real quick.
I [C#] don't see here
