[Abm] [E] [Ab] Welcome to [Bb] Eric Blackmon Music.
[B]
[E] Hi and welcome to my tutorial for an easy, cool, 12 bar blues intro on acoustic guitar.
The guitar is tuned standard [A] E, A, D, [G] G, B, [E] E.
And we'll play our intro this way.
We'll
[B] [E]
start our intro by placing our index finger on the B [Bm] string fret 3.
Our middle finger will go to the G string fret 4.
We'll place our pick on the G string and sweep downward like this.
[E] Then we'll move down one fret, [Bb]
[Dbm] move down [Am] again, and then we'll [Em] go to an E chord like this.
[E] Then we'll [C] go to a C ninth chord and then a B ninth [B] chord and [E] then end with E7.
[Bm] Here we go.
[Am] [Eb]
[E] [Em] Now when I played that E chord, I hammered on the first fret onto a G sharp like [E] this
to give it a nice bluesy sound.
[Bb] To make this a little bit cooler sounding on the beginning, we're going to start at
fret 2 and slide into fret 3 like this.
[G]
And then when we get to the E chord, we're going to hammer [E] on like that.
And I'm [Bb] always starting on the G string.
Here we go.
[Am]
[E] And then my C ninth, [B] B ninth, and [E] then E7.
So here's the whole thing.
[C] [Eb] [E]
[Db] And that's our blues intro.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
