We're going to start with the intro of the song, and it goes something like [Am] this.
[A] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Am] _ _ _ Now for our intro, we're going to go to an A minor 7 chord and strum it this way. _
_ Now what I'm doing [Gb] there is brushing the strings [Ab] like that while I'm muting the chord.
[G] So we're going [A] to go_
So you've got the strike, _ then play the low E string.
_ _ _ _ [Am] _ _ [Gb] Then you're going to use your pinky to hammer on the G string at fret 7 to get an A minor 11 chord.
[A] _ _ Like that.
So we've got this.
_ _ _ [Am] _ You're going to hammer on that.
[A] _ And _ _ _ _ _ _ then you're going to pull off of it [Am] right after you strike.
So you've got to strike it with your finger in place, or your [Gbm] pinky in place, and [Am] go_
Pull off of it like that.
_ The next thing we need to learn is the verse.
And the verse is going to go something like this. _ _
[A] _ _ _ _ _ _ [Am] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ Now the verse is very [N] similar to the beginning of the song, but we're going to strum it a little bit differently.
We're going to strum it something like this.
_ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ [Am] _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ [Am] _ _ One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four.
So we're going to be strumming on two, and we're going to hammer and pull off on four.
So it's one, _ three, four.
One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four.
Like that.
The next thing we have to learn is a very easy short bridge, and it goes something like this.
_ _ _ _ _ [A] _
We're [D] _ [A] _ _ _ [D] _ [A] _ _
_ [Bb] going to go to our A minor 7, and strike it like [A] this.
_ _ [C] [D] Then we're going to go to a D chord, _ like that.
[C] So we're going to strike our chord, [A] like the low E string.
[Am] Chord.
_ Low E string. _
Strike the chord, and then go to our D chord.
[D] _
Like that.
[Am] And _ _ [D] _
_ _ [Am] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
[Am] _ _ _ [F] then we're going to go back [E] into our normal groove.
_ Alright?
The only thing we have left to do is the ending, and we're going to be doing something like [F] this.
[A] _ _ _ [Em] _
[F] _ _ _ One, [Am] two, three, four.
[B] So [F] _ _ [E] what we're doing there is [Am] our A minor 7, and then we're going to go up to F major 7, _ like that.
And [Abm] we'll be playing it this [A] way.
_ _ _ [F] _ _
Two, three, [A] four.
One, _ _ [F] _
[Am] _ two, three, four.
So we're going, [A] _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ [Am] _ three, four.
[A] _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _ _
_ Well, alright.
That about wraps it up for Bright Lights by Gary Clark Jr.
[Em] _ Thanks for stopping by, and have [Am] a great day.
_ _ _ [Em] _ [F] _ _ _ _
[Am] _ _ _ [B] _ [F] _ _ _ _
