[G] [Gm] Hi there, [N] welcome to Bitesize Piano.
In this video I'm going to teach you what I believe
to be the most accurate chords and how to actually play what's in the track to Havana
by Camila Cabello.
So this repeats most of the way through the song.
There's a bit in
the second verse where it's slightly different so I'll teach you that as well.
So before
we dive into the tutorial, if you're brand new here please consider subscribing.
I'd
love to have you here learning from my piano tutorials.
I've linked a few playlists in
the description below to get you started but go have a rummage around on my channel and
see what else you can learn.
I do take piano tutorial requests, this song was a request,
so if you would like to submit one, stick around to the end of the video where you can
learn how to specifically submit one.
Of course, like the video if it has been useful and that
you have enjoyed it.
So let's dive in.
So we're first going to look at the right hand.
So because I'm trying to be as accurate as I can, it's not going to be much of a beginner's
tutorial.
I won't class how you actually play this as beginner but I'll give you a couple
of ways to make it slightly less hand stretchy.
So the right hand, the first chord is a G
minor.
If you can't stretch a full G minor chord, which is G, B flat, [G] D and G, because
the top voice in the chord is that [Gm] G there.
So that is definitely in there.
You can either
play just those three notes or if you feel comfortable adding in the G, you can add in
that as well.
So that's the first chord.
The second chord is an E flat major.
So all you're
going to do from there is change the D to an E flat.
[Eb] That's it.
If you're not adding
in the G, they're the notes you'll be using.
So, so far we have.
[Gm]
[Eb] [D]
And then the next chord
is based around a D7, so a D dominant 7.
So in the right hand you're going to [Gb] play F sharp,
[Gbm] A, [C] C.
So it's like an F sharp diminished chord [Gb] effectively.
So you're going to go and then
you're going to play [E]
F sharp, A and D sharp [Gbm]
and [D] then change that top note to a D.
[Gm] So I'll
go through that again from the beginning in the right hand.
[Eb] So I'm not doing any rhythm
just yet.
We're just going over the chords.
[Gb]
[Gbm] [D] And then the [Gm] second time round is almost the
same and
[Eb] [Gb]
[D] then it just plays a D.
[D] So you need to get fairly comfortable doing that first
before you try and add the left hand.
So I'm going to teach you the left hand now.
So it's
important that you know these parts really well hands separately before you attempt them
hands together, which I will show you how to do very slowly.
So the [G] left hand, you're
going to play G.
By the way, middle C is [C] here.
[G] So it's two G's below middle C.
So you're
going to play G, two [D] D's and then two E [Eb] flats followed by a higher E flat.
So [G] far we have.
[D]
[Eb]
And then you're going to [D] play a D,
[A] A, [C] C,
[Am] A, C, [A] A.
So I'll do that again.
[G] [D]
[Eb] [D]
[A] [C] [Am]
[A] Then it almost
repeats.
It's almost the [G] same.
[D]
[Eb] [D]
[C] And that last bit goes [A] A, [D] D.
[G] I'll do that one more time.
[D] [Eb]
[D] [A] [C]
[Am] [G]
[D] [Eb] [D]
[C] [D]
[G] So as I said, you need to know those parts pretty well before you try it hands together.
So I'm going to very slowly put that together for you.
[Gm] [D]
[Eb]
[D]
[Gb] [A]
[C] [A] That's [G] the first bit.
I'll do that
again.
[Gm] [Eb]
[D]
[Gb] [A]
[C] [A] And then the second time.
[G] [Gm]
[Eb]
[D] [A] [Gb]
[A]
And then that's the whole thing.
[G] So I'll do it again.
A [Gm]
[Eb] [D]
[Gb] [Am]
[D] [G] [Gm]
[Eb] [D]
[Am]
bit quicker.
[G] [Gm] [Eb]
[E] [Am]
[G] [Gm] [Eb]
[D] [Am] [D]
[Gm] [Eb] [E]
[Am] [G]
[Eb] [E] [Am] [D]
[Gm] [Eb] [Am]
So that repeats [E] most of the way through the song.
So now I'm just going to teach you the little bit that's slightly different that's in the second verse.
And this is when, which is like young thug's part.
[G] So we've got this single note piano part where your hands are going to play in unison.
So we have G, G,
[Bb] B flat, B flat, [G] G, [Gb] F sharp, F sharp, [A] A, A, [C]
C, [Eb] E flat, [D] D.
[G] I'll do that again.
[Bb]
[G] [Gb]
[A] [C] [D]
[G] [Bb] [G]
[Gb] [A]
[C] [Eb] [D] So it does that four times during his verse.
And then it plays the riff [N] four times as well.
So as I said, this is the only part that's different in the entire song.
Everything else is what is the riff that I have already taught you.
So that concludes the tutorial.
I hope that you have enjoyed it and that it's been useful.
