How to Play "Inside Out" by Eve 6 on Guitar (Whole Lesson) chords
Start Jamming...
What's up guys, Brandon Slavinski here and today we are learning Eve 6's Inside Out.
This is the full on lesson video, going to show you everything that you need to know
about the song.
Starting off with the intro chorus, it's going to be played the same way with the exception
of a little bit more rhythm.
But say you're starting out the [A] song, start off in an A, okay?
I'm going to play my A just like this with my index finger.
Kind of a cheapy way to do it, but I kind of dig it.
I don't know, whatever.
We'll make it [F#] work.
So we're going to mute the low E, zero on the next string down on that A, and then the
following strings are [E] all going to be taken down on the second fret by your index finger.
Now you can play it like this too and be a good guitarist, or you can be a [A#] bad guitarist
like [A] Brandon Slavinski and cheat your way through it.
[B] It's the same thing, it's okay, it's like [Cm] doing a barre chord.
You [A] can handle it, trust me, it's good for you.
It's good to be [A#] able to play chords different ways, you know what I mean?
It's to be comfortable.
So first chord A, [E] and then we're switching to the E, which is zero, two, two, one, zero,
zero.
Just like that.
[A] So, boom, [E] boom, and then we're going to go to a B, which is mute that low [B] E string, A
string is two, [F#] and then four, four, four.
Okay?
Just like that.
And then [A] we're going to go to the A again, [E] and then E, and [F#] then we do an F sharp.
All right?
To do an F sharp, it is two, four, four, three, zero, zero, or two, two.
[A] So, I would swallow my [E] pride, I would jump on the [B] rise, but the lack thereof will leave
me empty inside.
Swallow my [E] doubt, turn it [F#] inside, I'll find nothing but faith in [A] nothing.
I don't want to put my tender [E] heart in a blender, [F#] or watch it spin around to a
That's an F sharp, okay?
Beautiful [A] oblivion in a [E] rendezvous, and I'm [F#] through with you.
So that's the chorus [A] and that intro part to the song.
Then we're going to switch it up and we're going to go to the verse.
So it goes [B] like this.
With the B, which we've learned, [F#] then an F sharp, and then an A, and then a [G] G.
All right, so just like this.
[B] [A#] Firm, firm [F#] like a wicker cabinet, [A] dark [G] white and oh so [B] frail, I see [F#] our time has [A] gotten [A#m] stale.
[E] I think.
[A] Okay, [F#] so, [B] and then
Tick tock [F#] of the clock is [A] thankful to an A, all is sane and [G] logical.
That's a G.
[B]
B, [F#] then an F sharp, [E]
off the wall.
That's our E right there, okay?
[B]
Hear words [F#] in clips and phrases, that's an F [A]
sharp.
Do an [G] A, then two a [F#] G.
[B] [F#] B, F [G] sharp, exhale.
Exhale.
We can't get [B] back into the chorus, okay?
All right, so this is how you're going to play the breakdown.
[F] We're going to start off with the B, and then we're going to go to an [E] E, and then we're going to go to an A,
[A]
and then we're going to go right back down to [E] the E again.
And you're going to be palm muting, it's going to be all down strokes, palm muting.
To palm mute, you're going to take this part of your palm, you're going to put it right down at the base of the strings,
and then you're going to get this percussive sound using all down strokes.
[F] Now the other thing that you need to know about this is that on every fifth and eighth chord,
you're going to lift your hand up so that those chords ring out.
[E]
[A] [E]
[F#]
[A] Okay. Okay.
[Bm]
[F#] [E]
[F#] [E]
[B]
[A] [Em]
[F#] [E] [A] Then we just do a slam on A, just two chords, down stroke.
[E]
And then we hit the E and we just let it rock.
And [B] then we go into the chorus, and that's going to [A] be the end of the song.
[E]
[A] [E]
[D#] [F#]
[A] [E]
[F#] [A]
[E] [F#]
[A]
And [E] then
And [F#] [B] that's it, that's the song.
