Hey guys, welcome back to the MOOC class.
Today I'm going to teach you how to play
Is Your Shirt Inside [E] Out by McCafferty.
So, there are four [F] chords for this song.
The chords you're going to need are B, [Am] A, [D] D, and G.
[G#] Now they're [G] all power chords, two fingers, so that's [B] your first finger up on the top string.
For [G] the B, it's going to be on the 7th fret.
And then, I like to use my pinky finger, put that on [F#] the 9th fret of the A string.
Alright, so they're two frets apart.
[A] Now, all [G] those chords, you keep that shape.
[N] And that's how you play a power chord.
Alright, now, the song has two parts, the verses and the chorus.
For the verses, you're going to play that chord progression, B, A, D, [B] G.
[A] [G] [B]
[A] [Dm] [D] And then, for the [F] choruses, you're going to play the same chord progression, [G] but you're going to play the [E] strings [F] muted.
You're going to mute them up here.
So you're going to play the [B] chords, and you're going to lift up, [E] right?
So you're still [A] touching the strings, but [F] you're not playing anything.
[B]
Alright, so [F#] you can play it just like that.
You're going to play it one, two, three, four, [B] five, six, seven, eight, [F#] nine, ten, eleven, twelve, [A] thirteen, fourteen,
[G] [E] fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one.
And that's the entire song.
It's really that easy.
[B] [A] [D]
[G] Alright, [B]
[A] um
[G] [B]
[A] [D] [G] [B]
[Em] Alright, so it's [G#] that easy on the choruses.
[F#] Her favorite [A] color is the emotions [G] that are shattered, [F#] but you're secretly [A] safe with me because I don't need that [G] thing now.
[F#] That's it, those four chords, power chords, [B] choruses, you're going to [N] mute it.
That's the whole thing.
