Hello guys, this is Amos Doll Music and in today's lesson I'm going to teach you how to play Little Peep's Star Shopping.
So I'll be teaching you the repeating motive that goes throughout [G] pretty much the whole song.
So it's pretty simple actually.
Let me see, you can actually play it with one hand basically.
But anyway, here we go.
I'll give you a preview right now.
It goes like this.
[B]
[F#m]
[D] [G] Repeats.
[B]
[F#m]
[D] Etc.
There's a particular rhythm that goes with it, so let's go ahead [N] and learn it.
Once you get the rhythm it's actually pretty easy, it's not as hard as you think it is.
Here we go.
The notes wise itself is actually pretty simple, so it should not be such a problem.
But regardless, let's go ahead and learn it right now.
So let's break it up into four parts.
The first part goes like this.
The first part only has two notes.
It goes like this.
Well, most of the parts only have two particular [G] notes alternating between each other.
So the first part, the two notes that alternate between each other, it's G
followed by the F sharp [F#] above.
And then you alternate between it for a total of [G] five times.
Three, four, [F#m] five.
It's weird right?
It's five for normally [G] four counts, but yeah, there's a proper rhythm for this.
So we have the five times of G, F sharp, two, [F#] three, four, five.
Once [G#] you get these notes under your fingers, now let's work on the rhythm.
The rhythm is very important because throughout all the parts, it's the exact same rhythm pretty much.
Except [G] for the last part.
But anyway, here we go.
The rhythm goes like this.
So it goes, one, two, three, four.
Like that, okay?
So pay attention to [A] that.
The [G] first beat goes on the one, two, three, four.
Like that, okay?
So you can see the first beat goes on the G, and then the second beat goes on the next G,
[F#m] and then [G] the next beat goes on the F sharp, and then the next [F#] beat goes in between the F sharp [G] and the G.
[F#m] So it's like some syncopation, [G] okay?
So like this.
[F#] Like that.
And [B] remember this rhythm, practice it quite a bit,
because after the second and third part, it's the exact same rhythm for different notes, okay?
But anyway, regardless, the second part continues.
It goes the same pattern, but this time it goes to B and F sharp, alternating between those two notes for five times.
So B, F sharp, B, F sharp, B, F sharp, B, F sharp, B, F sharp.
Okay, same thing.
So it's like B and F sharp for five times.
But anyway, the pattern, once again, the exact same rhythm and pattern goes like this.
Two, three, four.
[F#m] Like that, can you see?
Once again, the exact same rhythm, [B] okay?
So I won't do it again.
So it goes one, two, three, four.
Like that, okay?
So pretty simple once you get the rhythm right.
And then moving on to the third part, exact same thing, but this [F#m] time with the two notes A and F sharp for five [F] times, okay?
So doing the same rhythm again, it goes [F#m] like this.
One, two, three, four.
Okay, let's do it one more time for this third part.
So it goes one, two, three, four.
Just like that, [B] okay?
So the three parts back to back will be played [A] like this, okay?
So check it out.
[G] So it goes
[B] Like [F#m]
that, [G] okay?
So that one is faster.
[Bm]
[F#m]
Okay, now moving on to the fourth and pretty much last part of this section motive.
It changes a tiny bit in terms of notes.
It doesn't all have the exact same notes.
So here we go, teach you right now.
So it goes A, up to F sharp, A, [F#] F sharp, and then [A] back down to A, D [D] this time.
And then up to F sharp, D, F sharp, D.
Like that.
That's the right hand for this fourth part.
One [C] more time, it [A] goes like this.
It goes A, [F#m] F sharp, A, F sharp, [D] A, D, F sharp, D, F sharp, D.
Like that for the right hand.
So that is the right [G] hand for this part, okay?
So yeah, once you get this, let me see.
The rhythm is quite important [F#m] as well.
So it goes one, two,
[D] three, four.
Like that.
Okay, one more time.
One, two, three, four.
And then it just restarts, [B] okay?
So yeah, pretty much that's the four parts back to [G] back.
We play like this with the rhythm as well.
[B]
[F#m]
[D] [G] Beats.
[B]
[F#m]
[D] Etc.
Yeah, so what you can do, you can either play this, just like accompany it and sing with it.
Or you can play it with [N] the left hand,
and then if you can somehow coordinate your right hand to play with some part of the melodies,
then that would be good, okay?
Because this pattern is actually repeating throughout the entire, entire song, okay?
But anyway, yeah, that's pretty much it.
Pretty short lesson.
Hope you got this.
Get the pattern.
The notes are pretty straightforward, but the pattern of the rhythm is really important.
Get the pattern of the rhythm right, and you'll be all good for this song.
But anyway, that's it now.

So that is the right [G] hand for this part, okay?
So yeah, once you get this, let me see.
The rhythm is quite important [F#m] as well.

So it goes one, _ two, _
[D] three, _ four.
Like that.

One, two, _ three, four.
