[G] there's a G, there's a D, [D] [Em] there's an E minor, there's an F [F#m] sharp minor.
of calls for an E minor and then I add a 7th, so that's the baby.
fret, so just [Em] one note.

Hey guys, Party Marty here, Easy Guitar Tunes.
I've got another really cool request, actually one of my favorite tunes by one of my absolute favorite artists, Rod Stewart.
It's called Maggie Mae.
Really, really, really good tune.
It's a great strumming tune.
There's a few chords in it, there's lots of changes, but it is definitely worth it.
People love this song.
And I love playing this song for people.
So anyway, I actually sing it down an octave.
I actually play it the way he does, or the way his band does, I should say.
But I actually sing it down an octave, I just can't get as high as he can.
But it still comes out pretty good, people enjoy it, so I hope you guys enjoy this version of it.
The chords are A, [G] there's a G, _ there's a D, [D] _ [Em] there's an E minor, there's an F [F#m] sharp minor.
Now [N] what I do with the E minor, actually one spot in the song kind of calls for an E minor and then I add a 7th, so that's the baby.
That would be the baby finger in the second string from the bottom in the third fret, so just [Em] one note.
It's E minor, 7th, and right [A] into your A chord.
Again, [Em] E minor, 7th, right into your A chord.
And [C#] it does fill in that spot in the song really, really well, so I like to keep that [E] in there, and that's a little trick for you guys to learn as well.
Again, [A] the chords are A, [G] G, there's [D] a D, there's [Em] an E minor, [C#] an F sharp minor, _ and [Em] there's the E minor with the 7th, baby finger, second string from the bottom in the third fret, [A] and then into your A.
_ [E] So F sharp minor is just a bar, a full bar on the second fret by the way, and your baby and your third finger on the second and third string from the top in the fourth [F#m] fret.
And if you need any help [A] with those chords, there's a chord link underneath in the info in this video, so just underneath the video in the info you can click on the chord link and go to any key you want if there's a chord you're struggling with.
Anyway, the strum, it's kind of a really cool, _ [G] _ kind [D] of a basic up-down strum, and then at the end of counting it's a little [A] funky, I'll slow that down a bit.
_ [G] _ _ _
[D] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _
[D] _ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ [Em]
And coming up is that E [F#m] minor, E minor, [A] 7th, A.
[G] _ _ _ [D] _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _ [D] _
_ [N] So that's the strum and those are the chords, and then practice those and go at your own pace, there's no rush, I will be here, I'm not going anywhere.
Try to find your own rhythm, your own strum a little bit there, I play songs different from Monday to Friday, so I don't like to get too hung up on that.
The main thing is you're getting your chords down, you're getting your changes, and the more you play the strum and the rhythm will come, I promise you, but you have to keep at it, it's not something that happens overnight.
So join us for the tune when you're ready, Maggie Mae, by Rod Stewart.
Let's give this one a [D] go.

[Em] You stole my [A] heart and that's what [D] really hurts
_ _ [A] The morning [G] sun when it's in your [D] face
Really shows your rage

_ _ [A] I suppose [G] I could collect my books [D] and get on back to school
_ [A] Or steal my [G] daddy's cube and get [D] living out of play pool
Or [G] find myself a [D] rock and roll band
[G] That needs a [A] helping hand
[Em] Oh Maggie I wish [F#m] I'd never [Em] seen your face
[A] You [Em] made a first class fool [A] out of me
