How to play 'Man With a Harmonica' chords

G'day viewers Mick E here at Eggs Blues Bar and I'm going to teach you how to play Man
with a Harmonica that classic western movie, the theme song from it, very easy to play
and it was also a song that was used by Muse as the basis for their song Knights of Cydonia
and when they played that song live they played the harp intro.
Now it's very easy to play,
can be played on two harps, an A minor, probably a little bit easier to play on an A minor
or you can play it on a standard G harp, diatonic, 10 hole diatonic.
So on the A minor I'll start
with it is based around draw hole 4 and being able to bend that, you need to be able to
bend, if you can't bend notes even though you're not bending it a long way down it's
a very basic bend but if you want to learn how to bend go to one of my other videos on
bending and all we're doing is draw 4 and bending that draw 4 and then back up to not
bent, that's the start.
[C#]
[D#] [G]
So to bend I'm just changing the air direction back down this
way so not bent, straight, bent and once you get the hang of that it's just a matter of
throwing in a draw 3, not bent but you've got to throw it in at the right spot so we
play draw 4, we bend the draw 4, cross to the draw 3, back to the bent draw 4 and back
up
[C] [G]
or you can do it before the bend, before you bend the 4 but [C] [G] when you come back to the
4 the 4 has to be bent so not bent 4, draw, not bent 3, draw, bent 4, draw, back up to
not bent 4, draw.
[N] So that's it in its entirety, it's a combination of those two, well they're
not even really riffs, two segments that just are bending that 4, adding the draw 3 occasionally
and working with that because it's so slow it just has a nice feel to it with a little
bit of background music to support it.
Now on the G-Harp it's the same thing but just
move it up two holes, so starting on the draw 6 [C] [G]
and throwing the draw 5.
[N] That's it,
Man
