Hey guys, welcome back to rapid piano.
It's Ronald here and in today's lesson
We're going to be looking at how to play no woman no cry by Bob Marley
So let me play it to you and then show you how it sounds so this is how it goes [C] [G] [Am]
[F] [C]
and so on
All right guys
So this is part one of the tutorial where we'll be looking at how to play the intro and the verse
For the full song tutorial you can check out my website [A] rapid piano calm alright
So first let me show you what chords we're going to be using here for the intro and the verse and once you know the
Chords, then I'll show you [C] the rhythm that we're going to be playing for the song.
Alright, so let's look at the chords
So the first chord you want to learn is the C major chord
So we're going to be playing it like this for your left and you're going to be playing a C octave
[Bb] Now through the entire song now if you can't play octaves, you know, if you've got small hands, [A] for example, and you can't reach it
It's totally fine.
You can just play with [C] a C once like this.
Oh, yeah
But if you can play octaves, it's good because it just makes it sound more full so you can play it like this
So C octave in your left hand and for your right hand, we're going to be playing an [Em] inversion of C, which is like [C] this
So that's G C and E
So that's your first chord.
Alright now your second chord is going to be a G which [G] is like this
So your left hand plays a G octave and your right hand you're going to be playing G B and D
So both together this is it
Alright, so so far we learned C G and now your third chord is going to be a minor which is like this
[Am]
[A] so your left hand you're going to be playing an a octave and your right hand you're going to be playing a
[Am] C and E
So that's your third chord.
And then the last chord we want to learn is F
So your left hand you're going to be playing an F octave
[F] And your right hand you're going to be playing F
A and C
[C] All right guys, so let me do one run through through those chords again.
So the first chord is C
Second chord is G
[G]
Your next chord is [Am] a minor and the last chord is F
[F]
[Bb] All right guys.
So now that you know the chords, let's look at how we play the song
So we start off like this.
So with your left hand you're going to play this and
[A] [B]
[G] Then go to [C] C.
So let's look [G] at that again
[A] G A
[B] B
[G]
G and
Then you go into your [C] C chord.
So [G] let's do that one more time
[C]
so that's your C chord and then you go to your G [G] chord next and
then [Am] a minor F
[F]
All right, guys, let's do that together now again from the beginning
[C] [G] [Am] [F]
All right, [C] and then from there you go to C again and then you're going to [F] do this
[Dm]
[C] So you are on C and
[F] Then you go to F.
So your left hand goes F octave higher and your right hand you're going to be playing this
So you're going to be playing A
C F
[E] and then you're just going to do this run here
[D] [C]
Back to C again
[G] All right guys, so let's do it from the beginning.
We'll do it a bit slowly.
Okay.
So here we go
[B] [G] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [C] [F]
[C]
All [G] right, and then you can carry on again and [C]
[G] [Am] [F] [C]
[G]
[G] [Am] [F]
[C] [G]
[C] so on all right guys
So that's the intro and the verse so it's exactly the same chords exactly the same tune now in the next part of this tutorial
I'll be showing you how to play the
Verse for the [Ab] song and to check that out.
