Chords for How to play One by Metallica on Guitar

Hey, what's up?
I'm stoked to be teaching you today many requests for this

I'm surprised.
I haven't done it yet.
Anyway, the beginning we're gonna learn the beginning to Metallica's one
Here's what we're gonna do
I'm gonna take my first finger on the second fret of the a string and
My ring finger on the fourth fret of the D string.
So it looks like a power chord
Just like that _
Okay, I'm gonna play them individually like this _ _
Just like that
_ _ _ Then back to the first note again
Just like that check it out
_ _ [G] Then I'm gonna take my ring finger off
And we've got to be able to hear this D string open a trick.
I've seen [C#] it tricky for some students where they block
This note here with this finger not on purpose.
So [D] you got to make sure you leave enough room to hear this open D string
So here's what [B] we have
_ _ [Bm] _ _ [D] _ Check it out [B] _
_ _ _ [D] _ _ [A] then it does it again
No, it doesn't actually let me take that back.
It doesn't do it again.
It does [B] that once?

_ Okay, it almost does the same thing
I think for most beginners, it'll be easiest for you to put your first finger on the third fret of the E string here [N] and
_ Then your ring finger is actually gonna be in the same spot and do the exact same thing as the other riff
Okay, so then we [G] go like this _ _
Then the first one again and the open
[D] _ _
So it alternates between those two things check it [G#] out.
Okay.
So here's what we have so far _
[B] _ _ [Bm] _ _ [G] _ _ [D] _ _
_ _ [Bm] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [F] Okay, the next thing that we're gonna do so we're gonna do the first one again

Then now here's a new one
Ring finger still on the fourth fret of the D string
But nothing there and you play the same move as the first one, but with the open a string instead of [A] your finger there
_ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
So [B] check it out

[G] _ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _ _ _
_ [G] _ _ _ [G] _ first one again

[D] _ _ [A] then open a string _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ [E] Then what we normally do is the [G] second one _

We're gonna go like this first finger on the second fret of the a string
I'm gonna play the low E string then the a string like this and
_ [G] _ Then I cover
[D#] _ The second [F#] fret on the E string and the a string and I play both of those
[B] _ So it looks like this _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ Right [B] into this again, [Bm] _ _ [D] _ _ [F#] you know, and that's when the
_ [Bm] _ _ [D] _ And those [C#] beginning solos of one are some of the videos that I send when you sign up for guitar jams

This is how I've taught it to beginners.

There's two times where it's not a dot
[G] So we're gonna go like this starting on the third we're gonna go

_ So then half step below that dot so we go to the second fret so watch dot

_ Then [E] all the way to the seventh fret which is a dot to the fifth
_ [A] So here's what we have so [G] far

_ _ [A] _ _ And from there we're gonna go dot dot dot dot from here [C#] from the fifth fret we're gonna go
