Jam Along & Learn...
Hey guys, it's Thomas from Mahalo and we're doing Power Rangers and today is Super Hero
Metal Plank.
It is awesome and fight sequences.
We're going to be in E and turn up that distortion.
And this beginning is going to sound a little something like this.
[F] [E] Alright, and what we're doing is we're just hitting low E twice and then we're hitting
power chord on 7 on the A string, 9, 9 and we're doing that 4 times.
And then we go, [F]
just slide everything up one fret.
[E]
[F] Then we have the super fast guitar part which is going to sound [Em] like this.
[C] [D]
[B] [E]
[D] [C]
[B]
And those chord progressions [C] go C, which is 3, 5, 5, going up two frets [D] to D, then
going [B] all the way down to the second fret, 2, 4, 4, all [E] the way up to E, which is 7,
9, [D] 9, [C] D, C, back [B] to E.
All together, [G] 1, 2, 3.
[C]
[D] [B]
[E] [D] [C] Go!
[B]
[E]
Actually, you know what, I'm going to teach [A] you that fast part.
I shouldn't tell you, because I can barely play it, but I'm going to teach it to you guys.
So [C] that fast part that goes.
[D] [E] Alright, what we're going to do is going to sound something like this.
[C] [D]
[B] [Em]
[C]
[Em] [A#]
[C] And what that is, is we're on the 5th fret [E] and the 9th fret of the G string [G] and we're
just going to use our pick on the 12th string and we're going to tap.
When I tap it, [C] when I let go, it's going to automatically play [Am] this 5th fret.
And then I'm just going to do a hammer [E] on and pull off on the 9th fret.
[C]
That's all on the G string.
[F#m]
And so we're [Am] doing that, [G] which is 12, [C] 9 and 5.
And we're taking all that and moving it up [D] two frets.
[A] [F#] And then we're going up a string to the B string and we're going to do 4 [Bm] and 7 and [B] 12.
[Em] And then I'm just going to move my fingers up a fret to 5 and 8.
And then I'm just going to move my tapping finger up to the 1 up higher to the C, the 13th fret.
[C] [Em]
And back [Bm] to the 12th.
So all [C] together, it's like this.
[D] [A]
[F#] Hammer up [B] here, [G] then I'm going to move my finger up, [D] then the tapping [C] finger,
[Em] and back
to the B.
[Bm] And so, [E] I've got to morph into a power shredder.
[A#] So here we go.
That is that big [E] intro part and now the main riff.
1, 2, 3, 4.
[C] C, [D] D,
[E] E,
[C] C, [E] D.
Let me teach that to you.
It's way up here on the 17th and 19th frets.
It's going to [Em] go 17, [A] 19, 17.
[F#] And then we're going to go [D#]
19, 20.
[B] So,
[E] [Em] repeat that, [Dm] [D#] but we're going to flip-flop these.
[C#] And then just repeat that.
[E]
[D#m]
[B] And just keep repeating that and that is the main Power [E] Ranger riff.
And then the only other part that I can remember is, so we'll go
[C] C, [D] D,
[E] E,
[C] C.
[D]
[F] We're going to go one higher to F.
Eighth fret.
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
[E]
And there is a cool part of the song before the chorus that what they do is they're on
the E and they just keep going up fret by fret.
[F] [F#] [G]
[A] [E]
[Gm] [E]
[C]
[A] [E]
So that is the Power Ranger.
Rock out [G] guys.
See you later.
