How to play Ready for the Storm part 1 chords
Start Jamming...
[Bb] [N]
Okay, today I was going to show you how to do a Doogie McLean [B] song.
For those of you
who don't know who he is, he's a [Eb] Scottish singer, often referred to as the James Taylor
of Scotland.
[Dm] [Gbm] And [N] he's famous for doing a lot of his tunes in open C.
So I'm going to be
showing you how to tune into open C the quickest way.
[B] But this particular song I'm going to
do is actually in C [Bb] minor.
So [Bm] to start with, you're going to bring the B up to [Gb] C.
So [Ab] instead
of the fourth fret, go to the [Abm] fifth fret.
[Cm]
[F] A to C, so [Db] you bring it down.
[C] Bring [Cm] the low
E.
And then you have to bring the A to G.
So
[Am] [G] this
[C] is open C.
Let's play the song that
I'm going to do, Ready for the [Fm] Storm.
You actually have to be in [E] E flat.
[Ab] [Cm] [Ebm] Notice I'm
tuning into the third fret of the E.
[Cm]
Ready for the Storm
[Ab] is in C [Bb] minor.
But I'm putting
it on the [F] fifth fret.
[Fm]
[F] Okay, I'm going to play the beginning [E] in a line.
[Fm]
[F]
Okay, [Ab] so to play
that line, [F] start with the low string [G] and an [F] arpeggio right after it.
Fourth, third,
second.
[Fm]
Then I want you to pull off on the E string, [Bb] second fret.
[Fm]
[Bb]
And then hammer on
the second fret of B [Fm] using the same finger, [F] first finger.
[Fm]
And
[Bb] then first finger again
on the D string.
[Abm] [Ab] Three, five.
[Bbm] [Ebm] [Fm] Three, five.
[Bb] [Fm]
Then the open G.
[Ab] And the third fret of [Fm] G.
Do
[F]
the bass string with [E] the arpeggio [Fm] again in four, three, two.
[F]
[Fm] [F]
Okay, on the second one,
[Bb] it's [D] not the arpeggio, [Fm] just hit the bass string.
Same as the other one.
[G] [Fm]
[Ebm] [Fm]
[Eb] [Fm]
So it's [Ebm] basically [F] first
finger on [Ab] the third fret of G.
[Ebm] [N]
