And to start off the intro sounds like this.

To start off you're going to bar across the third fret like this on the 6th, 5th, and
4th string and you're going to strum that four times.
_ [D] _ _ _ Okay, and the next note that you're going to hit [Fm] there, the tabs on your screen say
to go to the 5th string, 7th fret and hit that [C#] four times.
_ _ [F#] But I notice that's kind [D] of a stretch [C#] and _ _ [N] if you have smaller hands it might be a lot
easier if you do like what I did when I played it in the beginning, is play the 2nd fret
of the 4th string.
It's the same note.

_ _ _ _ _ Okay, you hit each one four times and [B] you do that thing twice.

Okay, and the next part is the same sort of, but instead of barring across the 3rd fret
you're [D#] just going to hit open and then [B] do that again. _ _ _

And right here right before it repeats when you're playing that 2nd fret, lift it up so
that you hit open once right before you go back into the 3rd fret and repeat.
So [B] that 2nd half will go like this.

_ [D#] _ Okay, and then it repeats [B] right there.
And then the 2nd time it repeats when you're on the open part, it's going to go like this.

_ _ Okay, and all you're doing there is [F#] hitting the open four [B] times.
_ _ _ Right here you're going to go 2nd fret, 3rd fret, 5th fret and you're going to hit [C#] each
of them four times. _

_ _ [E] _ _ And then right after [F] that you just bar across the 3rd fret [B] and let it fade out as [D] the verse plays.
Okay, _ _ _ _ [B] and then the clean guitar during the verse is clean picking and you're on the 4th
string, 3rd fret, 2nd string, 1st fret.
And you're going to pick it like this.

_ _ _ _ _ Okay, and you can see on the tabs on the screen it goes like this.
It goes the number of the strings goes 4, 2, 4, 2, _ 1, 2.
And it sort of repeats back and forth like that as you can see on the tabs on the screen. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [B] And then right here it's going to switch so that the 3rd fret of the 4th string that you're
playing right now, you're going to lift that up and play an open.
And then pick it like this. _ _ _ _ _ _
Okay, and then right here instead of [C] hitting the 4th string you're going to hit the 5th string open.
And you can see the tabs on the screen it shows the [F#m] pattern there too. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ And [F#] you just repeat that back and forth.
And [N] the whole time the clean guitar is playing that, the rhythm guitar is just going to play
three chords over the top of that and it's going to go 3, open, 7.
And it just repeats.

The riff from the beginning comes back again and then after that is the chorus.
And the chorus is [D] really simple, it's just four chords and it goes like this.

_ [G] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ it just repeats like that.
It goes 3, [D#] 7, open, 8.
And I just learned this song about a half an hour ago and when I was playing along with
it I noticed that when I played the 8th with a note on the 4th string 10th fret like that
it sounded kind of cool.
So I'll start from open and show you what that [B] sounds like. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [N] And then it repeats like that.
I just thought it sounded cooler with that note there.
I don't think Chevelle actually does that.
But I thought it sounded good.
Okay and then we get to the part of the song where the solo comes in.
The rhythm guitar is going to continue playing the chords from the chorus.
Just repeat that over and over.
And then the solo [F#] comes in and the first part sounds like this.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [N] Okay and that's really simple.
All you're doing there is just going from 21, the 21st fret, down to 19, down to 17.
And you're going to do that [B] twice. _ _ _

_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ [D]
And then right here you're going to go down to 14 and you're going to hit that twice and
then go to 17 and then down to 14.
_ _ _ [Bm] _
_ _ Okay just like that.

So with the last part and that part combined we'll go.

_ _ And then right here is where [F#m] you hear the_ _

On the first string you're going to be on the 12th fret, second string 13th fret, third
string 14th fret.
And you're just going to pick the strings in [F#] this order.
Go 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.
[F#m] And you do that five times. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [D#] And then right here on the third string you're going to slide from 14 [F#] to 12.
_ [E] _ _ _
_ And then you just [F] repeat the entire solo again and that's pretty much it.
And then after that the song ends by fading out with the clean picking that was played
from the verse.
And you'll notice that as the song sort of fades out the picking slows down its tempo
so it's not a constant speed.
You'll hear that in the song if you listen to it.
