[Gm] Alright, everyone, so today we're going to look at part one of Scars by I Am They, or the introduction.
As always, we will mainly focus on the rhythm, because we believe if you can get the rhythm right, then learning the notes is the easy part.
And if you stick around to the end of this video, there will be a nice rhythm exercise to help you learn it even faster.
But for now, I'm going to play you a quick 10-second sample of what this is going to sound like.
[Bbm] So it's [Eb] not a lot of notes, but it [Bb] is pretty tricky with the rhythm.
So [Gm] it's going to be a little bit [Eb] harder than you might expect.
[Bb]
Alright, so for the counting, this song is in 4-4, okay?
So that means we're counting in 4s.
So let's start with the left hand, that's a little easier.
So it's [G] 1, 2, [Eb] 3, 4, [Bb] 1, 2, 3, 4.
And then you just repeat that, right?
So now the right hand is a little trickier.
We have to count with 1 and 2 hands.
So 1 and 2 and 3 [Eb] and [Bb] 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.
[G]
Alright, so that one's a little trickier.
Alright, so for the finger numbers, left hand you can do [Eb] thumb,
[Bb] middle, pinky.
Right hand, pointer and thumb, [F]
[Ebm] ring, [D] middle, pointer.
Alright?
[Gm] So now let's try playing it hands together, and I want you to join me, okay?
So I'll count this in.
1 and 2 and 3 and go and.
[Eb]
[Bb]
Alright, pretty quick little intro, right?
So now it's time for the rhythm exercise.
So the hardest part is definitely the right hand for the rhythm.
So you're just going to go 1 and 2 and 3 and [Eb] [Bb] 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.
Let's try that again.
I'll count us in.
1, 2, ready, go.
1 and 2 and 3 [Eb] and [Bb] 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.
Alright, so that's all for this video.
Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you have a great day.
Hey, thanks for watching all the way to the end.
