I'm gonna teach you how to play the HBO succession theme.
Okay, so okay.
I'll give you a preview of this main theme
It's pretty awesome.
The first time I heard of it.

You can't really see all the keys here
But during the lesson I'll explain everything the melody an octave lower than usual.
Okay, so this is how it sounds like in the [C] original

Yeah, okay, but [Cm] during the lesson as I said, I'll just play everything like an octave lower so you can see [C] all the right-hand melody

Let's get right into it.
So we're gonna play [G] everything on the right hand an octave lower than usual
Okay, so we're gonna learn it in melody course first and I'll tell you what you can actually do afterwards to make it [Fm] sound
A bit more awesome.
Okay, so let's do it on the C just above middle C
Before you remember play it an octave higher than what I tell you.
Okay, so starting on the C here so you can see so C _ and
then it goes fast B D [C] B C D [Bb] _ and
[C] then C B [Db] flat a flat [Gb]
F [G] sharp G [Ab] a
[C] Flat G and that is the first part.
We're gonna break it up into two passes easier to [G] learn
Okay, so it's not that [C] many parts to actually learn but it's just the notes
It's kind of fast is hard to kind of catch but here are the notes one more time.
So you go C
_ [B] [Fm] B C D C [Bb] [Db] B flat a [Gb] flat [C] F sharp [Fm] G a [G] flat G and that's for the right hand
Okay, one more time [F] goes C _
B C D C [Ebm] [Db] B flat [B] a flat [C] F sharp [Abm] G a [G] flat G
_ _ Like that, [C] okay
_ _ [Bb] _ _ [G] _ _ All right, and that's that for the right hand left hand the two block chords here are C [Cm] minor which is C a flat
C E flat G
Yeah, and then second chord is a [Ab] flat major.
Yeah, that's why I said a flat C E flat
[Cm]
Okay, so these two chords months of C minor C E flat G followed [Ab] by a flat major
Which is a flat C E flat [Cm] the two hands together goes like this
So he goes chord comes in first Ryan comes in

Let's move on to the second part [Em] right hand continues after this G up to the octave above high G and [F] then F E

C [Ab] B a flat [Gb] G [B] F
[Gm] E-flat D
Just like that again.
So all the times it goes G [F] F [D] E flat D flat [Eb] D E [D] flat D up an octave to the high [F] D
C B a flat G F [Bm] E flat D like that.
Okay.
Yeah, and that's it.

[G] Okay, this second one's a bit harder because it's more continuous.
[Fm] Okay
[N] _ _ Like _ _ [G] that, okay, I guess this is the best way to do it because um, the hand flows a bit more [N] easier this way

_ _ just practice this part _ _

So that's that for the right hand there [Am] _ left and the two courts here we have F minor [Fm] 6

Okay, in some cases actually first inversion of D major.
This is up to you which sound you like better
So either G major G B D or you can do first inversion G major B D G.
So yeah, [Fm] so [G] yeah
Yeah, but for now just do it [D] as F minus 6 [G] plus G major.
It's easy to remember
Okay [E]
with that in mind the two hands [Fm] together goes like this.
So it goes chord right comes in
_ _ _ D and C major together, ah [G] G major together
_ _ Like that, okay all the times [Fm] goes here _ _ [G] Together
_ _ _ Like that, [Fm] okay _

Yeah, and that's that for the second part so back to back the two parts will be played like this check [N] it out
So yes, okay, [Cm] but him

It's _ sometimes a bit hard to just get right onto it
_ So [Bb] you've got to practice that a [N] bit more _

Okay, so always practice the parts that are not as good
I don't have to always play from the start play the parts that are [E] not good
And that's the way to actually learn stuff a [Fm] lot quicker.

so after that you can play it to the
One that is actually an octave above so it sounds more like the [Cm] original

_ _ [Fm] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _
_ Like that, okay, and after that after you get the melody melody melody and chords like all correct
Like the rhythm the notes and everything then you can start applying left-hand patterns to make it sound more awesome
You can make it more like to the original where it's like a [C] bass.
So I do an octave and [Cm] I caught
So _ still based on the C minor chord, right?

do that

Yeah, something basic like that, okay, so yeah after that you can if you want to do arpeggios you can [Cm] you like

[C] it's really up to you what you want to do and whatever like version you want to make it anyway
