Hello YouTube, this is Zach Brown.
I am not the Zach Brown.
I am a Zach Brown.
I've played music for since I was eight years old many years.
I've kind of found out through the years a lot of people are pretty inconsistent and unreliable in bands
So I have had to resort to playing acoustic
[F#] I'm always looking for better ways to [A] play songs.
I'm always looking
Maybe [N] somebody's found something else out about a song that I want to play
That helps it out.
So
What I've kind of found out is this song wheels when I look it up on YouTube and other places.
I
Don't the tablets are just it's just they don't sound right for what I want to do
I don't feel like I do the song justice playing it like that.
So
You got to commend anybody who has the guts to put their
there's their
View on it out there.
So I'm not knocking anybody in any form or fashion.
This is just the way I
Like the way I've gotten several compliments on it.
I've played it out a lot and no one's complained yet.
So
Song wheels by Foo Fighters is capable on the second fret
It has four chord shapes
I'm gonna try to explain to you how I play it
It might help you it might not
This is my [A] first YouTube lesson.
So if you have anything you want to
Give it to me [G#] about just go ahead
Answer the emails or whatever I need to do help you understand [A#] if you have any questions, so
four chord shapes are
C add [F#m] 9
[A] B minor
[F#m]
[E] [N]
There's some hammer-ons some full offs.
I'm gonna try to explain them as best I can
The only harmonic that gets hit through the song is on the D string or third string
The ninth fret or seventh fret from the capo
[C#] the very last single dot on your guitar neck before the double dots, so
That's the harmonic he's hit
[N] And that's the harmonic.
I've seen him hit live in concert.
So
[A] Starts on the C add 9
[F#m]
[A] [E] [F#m]
[A] [E]
[A] [E] [A]
[C#] Okay
That's pretty much
Through the intro and into [A#] probably most of the first verse
When he gets to the chorus, it's the exact same pattern as
The intro [F#] you're gonna have to listen to the song [Fm] and you're gonna have to get those beats down to
Get your timing down and this is a song that as you learn to [C#] sing it with the hammer-ons the pull-offs the harmonic
It's you have to go over and over and over [N] again till you get your your your rhythm down
This isn't this was [G#] not one of the easier songs.
I had ever sat down to try to play and
[D#] Sing with all the hammer [A#]-ons and pull-offs.
So I'm not gonna [N] sing for you because I haven't sang in a while
I will show you the hammer-on and the pull-off or try to explain it and
[G] I'll try to put it on [F#] the YouTube video also
[D#] The hammer-on is [E] when you're in the C add 9
[F#m] He
[C#] Hammers on or I hammer on the D string [A]
and I pluck that G string open
Then I [A#] pull off
the D string
[F#m]
And I switch to the G shape.
[A] So and then the [E] harmonic
[F#m] into the e minor
[D#]
now the D
[E] Is just your head for typical D hammer-on pull-off
You [F#]
pull that middle finger off your E string
Hit it open
Move your index finger up to the G string second fret from the capo and pull off
So it'll sound like this
[A] [F#]
[E] [F#m] It [F] goes back to the C after that D.
Sorry.
I don't think I [F#] told you that but
[A] [F#m]
[E] [F#m] [A]
[E] [C#] You know when he gets to the chorus if you listen to the CD or the song mp3, whatever you use
[G#] It's same same order but [A#m] you're pretty much just strumming you don't really have to worry about the [F#m] hammer-ons and pull-offs, so it's just
[D] [A] [F#m]
[A] [E]
[D] [A] [F#m]
[A] [E]
[A] [F#m] [E]
[F#m] [A]
[A] [F#m] [E]
[A] [F#m] [E] [A]
That literally if you go [C#] if you listen to the CD
You play those four chords
[C] If you like the hammer [F#]-on pull-off combination I use great [A#] if not
[G#] you know, I'm I would
[A] Encourage anybody to find their own way to do [N] anything
Just keep in mind when you're playing a song that has a full band behind it and you're going acoustic
You got to find a way to do it if you want to play it out and do it justice so
