Hello guys, this is Amosdollmusic and in today's lesson I'm going to teach you how to play
the Microsoft Windows [Ab] XP shutdown sound.
Some of you guys will be very familiar with this.
I'll give you a quick preview of what you're going to learn.
It sounds like this.
Check it out.
[Eb] [A] Like that.
Even though you can't see the right hand notes, it's fine because I'll just play the right
hand an octave lower than usual and teach you in this lesson.
It's a quite simple lesson.
The right hand has four notes.
[Db] These four notes, I'll play it here.
I'll start here.
It's actually one octave higher.
Anyway, middle C is here for an octave.
You go up an octave to this C.
In this lesson we start on the G sharp that is right here
but for you guys, remember, if you have a bigger piano, start an octave above.
Anyway, just for the sake of seeing all the keys, it starts on G [Abm] sharp, down to D sharp,
down to G sharp, and then [Bb] A sharp.
Those are the [Ab] four notes for the right hand.
Remember, one more time.
It goes G sharp, D sharp, down to G [Ebm] sharp, A sharp.
Like that.
[Ab] Like this.
[Bb] Like that.
Nice and smoothly.
With the [Ab] rhythm as well.
[Bb]
Like that.
That's that for the right hand.
Remember, [Abm] once you [Bbm] get this, just play an octave higher.
[B] That's [Gb] where it sounds like.
[N] Anyway, that's that for the right hand.
Left hand, we have two types of
This is a fifth block chord for both of the chords.
What we do here, first of all, the [Ab] first one is G sharp block chord with the fifth.
This is G sharp on the lower note and then you go up to [Eb] D sharp and then we double up
the root note [Ab] on the G sharp here.
That's the first chord.
Then the second chord is a D sharp, like the fifth [Eb] block chord as well, which is down here,
the low D sharp, A sharp, and D sharp.
This is where you actually [Ab] play.
[Eb]
You don't have to play any higher or [Ab] lower.
Just for reference, middle C is here, just [B] for you [Eb] guys so you can see [Abm] where it is actually
located, the chords.
[Eb] [Ab] [Eb]
[Ab] [Eb] Remember these two chords, the G sharp, the [Ab]
fifth block chord doubling up of the root
note, and also the D sharp fifth [Eb] block chord doubling up of the root note here.
[Ab] [Eb]
After you remember these two chords, [Ab] like, [Eb] locked it into your head, then the two hands
together is pretty simple.
You know how there's four notes on the right hand?
So this is what happens.
The first note on the right hand and the fourth note on the right hand is with the left hand chords.
So it just goes like this, check it out.
So it goes, [Ab]
tskida, [Eb] tskida, like that.
[Ab] Simple stuff, right?
So tskida, [Eb] tskida.
And that's it.
So after you get that, you can just play your right hand an octave higher to make it sound
like the original.
[Ab] Like this.
[Eb] Like that.
[Ab] Awesome stuff.
[Eb] So now, since you've learned this, you can show it to your friends, you can always be
like, hey guys, I'm shutting down, blah blah blah, blah blah [Ab] blah blah, [Eb] [N] etc.
etc.
So yeah, have fun with that, enjoy this, and all my other piano tutorials on this channel
are like this as well.
Step by step, very simple, very easy to understand.
And yeah, it's like literally anyone, even without any music experience can learn how
