Hello guys, this is Amos from Music,
and in today's lesson, I'm going to teach you
how to play the song called
What Are You So [G] Afraid Of by XXXTENTACION.
I'll be teaching you how to play the [E] instrumental
that appears throughout the entire song.
[C] Check it out.
Really [Em] calming, goes like this.
Check it out.
Here's what you can learn.
[F]
[G] [C]
[F]
[C]
[F] Etc, okay?
Repeat it throughout the whole song.
You can hear in the [C] original,
it's actually a little like this.
I'm going to play through the entire song.
[G] Okay, so let's get right into it.
Alright, so let's break it up to [F] two parts
so it's easier to learn.
First part is the easier part, right hand.
So the E here, just above [Em] middle C.
So it goes, [C] E C, E C, [E] and then E B, E B, like that.
Okay, and that's it for the first part.
So there are eight notes here for the right hand,
with these kind of like two notes played twice each.
Okay, one more time, it goes, [C] E C, E C, [Em] E B, E B.
[B] And that's it for the right hand for this first part.
Once you get [D] the right hand there,
left hand, we have [E] four bass notes,
individual bass notes, okay?
So just [F] F twice and G [G] twice.
Alright, pretty simple stuff [F] with that four [G] notes in mind.
The two hands together goes like [Em] this.
So it goes, together, together, [G] together, together.
Just like that.
And that's it for the first part, okay?
So there's also like a counting thing.
It goes, one, two, [F] three, one, two, three, four, five.
Okay, [F] it's like, one, two, three, one, two, three, four, [Em] five.
One, [G] two, three, one, two, three, four, five.
Like that.
So it's [B] like the three, five pattern,
[C] when it's like counting slowly.
And when it goes fast, it goes like [F] this.
[G]
Like that, it gives that kind of rhythm, okay?
So yeah, so that's it [F] for this first part.
Okay, if you don't play it [Em] like that rhythm,
it doesn't really sound like it.
If you play it too even, it's like,
[Em]
doesn't sound [F] like that, doesn't sound right.
So just make sure it's
[Em] [G] like that, three, five pattern.
[Abm] Remember that, very important, okay?
Moving on to the second part, right hand continues.
Okay, this is also the last part before it all [C] repeats.
Right hand goes, E, C, E, C, down to G, E, C, E, C, G.
[G] And that's it for the right hand.
So a little [E] bit more stuff happening for this second part.
Okay, let's do it again.
It goes, [C] E, C, E, C, G, E, C, E, C, G.
[Em] And that's it for the right hand.
Once you get that, left hand is just four C's.
One, two, three, four, easy, okay?
[Bm] It's just the C below middle C.
[C] All right, one, two, three, four.
When you get [G] that, the turns together, it goes like this.
E and C together, so it's together, together, together, together, like that.
[Em] Okay, one more time, it goes like this.
[C] Together, together, together, together, like that.
[Em] All righty, and that's it for the second part.
Okay, so back to back to two parts, we'll just play like this.
And you just have to repeat this two parts back [A] to back all the time, [F] okay?
So like this, [G]
[C]
[F] repeats, [G]
[C]
et [F] cetera, okay?
So yeah, you [Em] guys, if you're a singer, you can like learn and play this instrumental
and pretty much like sing through the whole song.
It's pretty awesome stuff.
