[F] [D]
[Ab] [D] What's up guys?
I want to talk about one of the most epic days of music video shooting.
We've had some crazy days.
We've had stuff like the country boy song [Dm] and Don't Tread [D] on Me and of course Holler.
We've had some pretty epic music video days.
This one was right up there at the top.
[F] We filmed the [D] music video for Diesel and we went all the way up to Indiana from Texas.
We took the bus.
We're still on the bus going home right now.
We took my bus Wildflower which was just a great alternative to [A] a bunch of crew guys
[D] flying to the middle of nowhere in this farm in Indiana.
So we decided to take the bus which is ironic because we burned a lot of diesel going to
film [Dm] a music video called Diesel [D] at a place of a YouTuber called Whistling Diesel.
So everything in our lives was [E] pretty much diesel today.
[Bb] We drove for 20 [D] hours and so going through truck [Gm] stops and seeing all the semi trucks
[D] rolling coal.
This has been [Gm] literally our life for the last 24 hours.
We arrived [D] early this morning.
We go to visit my buddy Cody at Whistling Diesel who [Am] has some [D] amazing trucks including
a very famous one called Monster Max.
The first goal of this music video was to have this epic intro shot where Earl is standing
on top of Monster Max and [E] riding down this county road with a bunch of diesel pickup
trucks behind him.
So go ahead and get Earl up there and get in position and let me know when you guys are [Dm] ready.
Detroit, [A] Cummins, Powerstroke, [D] Enduramax, Herbal Whirling, [F] burning coal up a hot [D] stack.
30 frees from the city ain't got that, so why fly back?
This is one of the coldest moments to stand on top of a pickup truck and [F] 27 degrees [Cm] with
the wind blowing while we're driving all the way down to [Gb] County Road.
Go back, film again.
We did [Db] it probably [C] four times but [Am] I think the shot's going to be [A] epic.
Of course one of the main ideas of going to Indiana [D] to shoot a video like this is
there's got to [Bb] be a lot of crazy trucks, [D] mudding.
So the ground [F] was really, really wet.
[B] This time of year it was snowing most of the day [Gbm] and so it made for perfect conditions
to get out there and do some crazy mudding.
[Db] As you can see right here, I mean there's mud kicking up [Db] everywhere.
One of the trucks got stuck.
[Em] We had to pull him out.
It was chaos inside the [A] cab.
We're all crashing around, knocking each other [D] over.
Paul's knocking the camera around.
I'm trying to hold the [C] camera.
Cody from [D] Whistle and Diesel is just, he's a wild man.
He's absolute [G] insane and [Ab] I love that about him.
[Dm] We started doing these jumps because he has this part that he's dug out and it's pretty
much a cliff that [C] goes straight down.
So [E] he's going off the cliff, [Fm] back up the cliff, back down the [Ab] cliff, over and [G] over and every
time he [D] goes he gets a little more air, gets a little [G] higher off the ground.
It ends up being [Bb] this [C] epic jump where he gets this air off, probably [Bb] four feet in the air
with these [Gbm] massive [A] tires.
At one point Earl gets out and [Gb] we did this big shot where Earl was kind of standing there
posing [A] and the truck comes [Gb] off in the background.
I'll show you right here.
[D]
Yeah, we [F] love Smokey [Dm] Mountain Diesel!
Yeah, we do.
[D] You can find out later, if you follow Whistle and [Dm] Diesel on his YouTube page and his Instagram,
you [Gb] can probably [D] find out what [Bb] ended up happening later on in the night [D] because of that jump
and [Em] all the jumps.
I won't [D] give that away.
I'll let Cody tell you more about that.
You can go to his [Dm] channel.
All and everything from hay bales to pass [A] boats.
It ain't no joke.
Nope.
[D] Performance was pretty [Bb] standard.
We did [Eb] some pretty epic shots with Earl.
Luckily I bought a torpedo heater and brought it.
It [D] was a lifesaver.
The torpedo heater was probably the [Dm] highlight of the entire day.
It saved [Bb] us in so many ways.
We could shoot the shot, have performance, and then immediately go back down to the [D] torpedo
heater and heat back up.
[E] Maybe the bigger MVP, besides Monster Maxx and the torpedo heater, [A] had to be the FPV drone,
which is something we've never used before.
We got a guy named Jonathan who's just amazing at these things.
You've probably seen these kind of drones where people race them on [E] ESPN.
They're just crazy.
They literally go 100 [Bb] miles an hour.
They're flown with goggles on.
You can do anything.
You can do any kind of tricks.
You can do any [Eb] kind of loops.
[Ebm] You can turn circles.
[Gb] [Dm]
[C] [D]
[Dm] We [C] shot [A] this [Ebm] one scene where Earl's just hanging out of [Cm] a window holding a Yee Yee flag.
The way the wind [A] was blowing, I'm hanging out of Monster Maxx.
The smokestack is right in front of my face.
The wind [Em] is blowing just right.
I'm just getting this epic cloud [D] of black diesel soot in my face, in my nose, in my lungs.
[Dm] I'm just holding my breath, closing my eyes, just thinking, I hope this is worth it.
I hope this is worth it.
It added to the craziness of what [E] this guy is.
That's diesel.
[Dm] I know, joke.
That's what you get [D] hanging out the window.
[F] [D] Are [Dm] you alright?
It was worth it though.
We got a shot.
Another thing that just added to so much that this video already has is I got my buddy Scott [D] from Kentucky Ballistics to come up from Kentucky to Indiana
[Am] and bring his massive diesel flamethrower which [D] shoots a flame ball for about six seconds at about 40 feet [A] long.
Just crazy [Dm] flame.
We had this idea that we could kick him out about 40 feet from a massive bonfire that [A] Cody built.
He could shoot this flamethrower.
It's all pressurized.
It's a [Dm] crazy deal.
We all get ready.
We have drones in the air.
We have cameras rolling.
Scott just gets this [D] epic flame to light the fire.
[Eb] It was amazing.
[E] I wish that [Am] I could see what you're seeing right now because, like I said, from my perspective, I haven't seen the edit of this video.
I know it's going to be one of my favorites ever.
I just [Em] know I have so much diesel in my lungs right now.
[A] It's been so cold all day.
I can't wait [Em] to take a shower on this bus, [Bb] rest up, start going through the content, and see what you [F] have already seen.
The diesel music video.
One of the best days of my life.
I hope [Bb] you guys like it as much as I like it.
[A] I know that MonsterMax is taking about all she can take today.
That was a lot of meat.
I want to give you this guitar.
No way.
This [C] has been in many shows.
A lot of shows.
I don't know.
And [A] this music video.
[E] You know this?
Of course.
That is a wrap [A] on diesel.
[Bb] We did it.
All right, [D] guys.
That is a wrap, guys.
Good job, everybody.

They're flown with goggles on.
You can do anything.
You can do any kind of tricks.
You can do any [Eb] kind of loops.
[Ebm] You can turn circles. _
[Gb] _ _ _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _
_ _ [C] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
[Dm] We [C] shot _ [A] _ _ this [Ebm] one scene where Earl's just hanging out of [Cm] a window holding a Yee Yee flag.
The way the wind [A] was blowing, I'm hanging out of Monster Maxx. _
_ It added to the craziness of what [E] this guy is.
That's diesel.
[Dm] I know, joke.
That's what you get [D] hanging out the window. _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ [D] _ _ _ _ Are [Dm] you alright?
_ It was worth it though.
[Eb] _ It was amazing.
[A] I know that _ MonsterMax is taking about all she can take today.
That was a lot of meat.
I want to give you this guitar.
No way.
This [C] has been in many shows.
A lot of shows.
I don't know.
And [A] this music video.
_ _ _ _ [E] You know this?
Of course.
That is a wrap [A] on diesel. _ _ _
[Bb] We did it.
All right, [D] guys.
That is a wrap, guys.
Good job, everybody.
