[Cm] [Fm] [G] Hello everyone and [C] welcome back to a new Eurovision [G#m] Hot Reaction video.
Today we are going to be reacting to the song Hosevik.
This [N] song is from the Netflix movie Eurovision Song Contest The Story of Fire Saga.
Which you should totally watch like right now.
Before we get into this reaction as usual please don't forget to subscribe to our channel,
give this video a big thumbs up and hit that notification bell so that you [C#] don't miss any
of our new content.
Now [F#] let's go.
It's [D#m]
[D#] a sweet little intro.
It's got some nice little [F#] piano in it.
It's the gentle piano that gets me every time.
[C#] The beginning is good.
Ah already the melody in that piano is beautiful.
[A#] Hot warming notes.
I actually like the song.
I think it's a beautiful song.
It's great.
No, it's the ballad.
This is actually I think my favourite song [F#] from the film.
Straight off the mark, can we please acknowledge how [D#m] amazing Molly Sanden sounds.
And [N] let's be honest, Molly's voice is like wow.
It just makes the song even more perfect.
[F#] I just want to be silent and listen to this for a second.
Just her voice is something [D#m] else.
At first when I listened to it I was like oh my god this is so cheesy.
It reminds me [B] of like a million voices.
[F#] But then the chorus I was like yes!
[C#] Oh this is pretty.
[D#m] I'm ready to go to sleep.
[B] It's like this kind of sound.
[F#]
[C#] I'm going to go even as far to say that this song honestly [F#] deserves to win a few awards
when award season comes around.
I love this.
I [C#] really love this.
This [F#] is the pop justice that Molly deserved and we deserved as fans of her [C#] because the
world needs to see and hear and [F#] know about Molly Sanden.
Oh this, like this gives me goose bumps because [B] this reminds me first of it.
There are sequels there.
[D#m] You can see the mountains.
I'm fascinated.
It's got [F#] real lyrics but I'm trying to listen to them.
[B] Which is why I'm not talking very much.
I actually like the [D#m] chorus.
The first time [F#] I listened to this song in the movie [B] I was having like chills all over my body.
[D#m] Goose bumps.
[C#] Mmm getting goose bumps.
[B] I would give this goose points.
[F#] It's beautiful but it goes on boring.
Like you have to admit that.
[B] Yes the Icelandic part.
Oh [D#m] the Icelandic.
Beautiful.
[F#] Another thing that I love [B] is that they include some Icelandic [F#] parts in the song.
I think that makes it like [B] quite unique.
I feel like they really nailed the song [D#m] in the respect that [F#] there are Eurovision [B] fans
who love songs that are sung in their native language and they [F#] really showcased it in this
song and I was like yes thank [B] you.
Thank you.
And Icelandic.
[D#m] Nice.
Plants in [F#] the Sea officially this week.
Getting started.
[D#m] Watering it.
Molly for Eurovision 2021 and she's gonna win.
Come on girl.
I thought [B] she was gonna sing You Are the Best in May [D#m] just then.
Oh goodness.
Wait I'm sorry.
Why does Will Ferrell [B] have to come in?
[F#] You don't need to be in this song.
The male voice is like get that part away we don't need that.
[B] I think Will Ferrell, [D#m] his part is ruined.
Ruined the song there.
[B] Oh well let's just [F#] stay out of this track and just leave this to [C#] Molly.
Please.
In the nicest way possible.
I really [F#] like those two voices together.
It's a bit Disney [C#]-ish isn't it?
It's quite lovely.
[F#] I like this part.
The mountains and then like [B] you can envision it.
Seagulls, whales, mountains.
[D#m] Oh I've got a big smile [F#] on this one.
I really like this one.
[B] Oh.
[D#m] It's just goosebumps.
[F#] I [B] just, I just don't want Will Ferrell in this song.
[D#m] Again the harmonies of those [F#] two voices [B] is like heaven.
Dramatic.
I [F#] would love to see music out of you.
We will do that.
[B] Molly Sandin needs to go to Eurovision.
Come on [D#m] Sweden.
I think this song could [F#] be a [B] perfect life in Eurovision.
[F#] My heart's at home.
Oh and then she hit the notes.
She hit the notes.
[B] It's not a song without a really high note right?
Not a [D#m] Eurovision song without a really high note.
[D#] I mean this is like a Eurovision [B] topic, these high notes.
But it's [C#] beautiful.
And a very long one [F#] too.
Wow.
That's very [B] high.
Amazing.
[C#] Iconic.
[B] Stunning.
Out of this world.
[F#] Brilliant.
This will go on my playlist.
This makes me smile.
[B] You definitely need to take a breath after that note wouldn't you?
This [N] is my favourite song from the film.
I have to be honest with you.
What is there to say?
That was bloody brilliant.
I had goosebumps like every couple of seconds in that song.
I know in the movie when they end up doing this on the stage, it's totally against the rules.
But it's a movie.
It's fictional.
It's fun.
It's fine.
Guys it's fine.
It's a real break.
We know, we know.
We're hardcore fans.
But it's okay.
In the movie it's fine.
They've handed us a beautiful song.
We say thank you.
Thank you for the beautiful song.
And I like when they're trying to speak the Icelandic.
You have to listen quite carefully to get it.
But with a lot of effort I could understand what they were saying.
I appreciate it.
I love hearing foreign people trying to say Icelandic.
That's what we thought.
But what did you think?
[Cm] Let us know in the comments below.
Until the next video.
Bye.
