Hey, what's up guys?
I'm recording this right before Pentecost Sunday and we're doing a [G] remix
of a [F#m] throwback song, How [C#m] We're Filled With The Spirit.
[F#m] My guy Donnie hooked me up with this track,
so I'll link that below.
But I really also wanted to show you, I got some more [Bm] Sennheiser microphones
[F#] that I love.
Some [F#m] MD421s.
I've always, I've had one for years and years and years.
I got two more
to finish out my Toms [E] and they're sounding incredible.
[F#m] So using all Sennheiser mics.
[Bm] Thanks so much to Sweetwater for supporting [G#m] me in this video on my channel.
But let's dive into
this remix and then I'm going to talk about all [B] the mics I'm using after the [C#] video.

Okay,
let's talk about the microphone.
So as I mentioned on the [Bm] Toms, I am running the [F#m] MD421.
This is
probably one of the greatest and most recorded Tom mics of all time.
This is [E] a dynamic [F#m] cardioid
microphone.
[Bm] It can take a [F#] lot of sound and it's got great [E] rejection.
[F#m] Just built like a tank and
it [D#m] also is used [F#m] for vocals, guitar [E] cabs, basically anything you [F#m] can dream up, the 421 can handle [Bm] it.
On snare [F#m] top, I'm actually running an E604.
This is also my second favorite Tom mic that [Bm] you see
me running a lot on this channel.
As you can see, this mic has actually [E] taken a beating.
[F#m] And a lot of people [Bm] don't run this mic on [G#] snare, but as you can hear in this [E] video,
[F#m] it really does a great job.
[D] And then for snare bottom, [F#m] I'm running the [E] E609 Silver.
[F#m] And I like
it because of the profile.
I can [Bm] get a really nice [F#m] and tucked up against the bottom snare and
it's actually a dynamic microphone as well.
And then on the overheads, I'm running the E614s.
These are great [Bm] small overhead [G#m] microphones and they're great in a drum cage, especially if
you're trying to save [F#m] as much room as possible [Bm] and squeeze [F#m] those overheads as close to the ceiling as
you can.
So those are some great overhead mics that just do a great job.
For the room mic,
[C#m] we're running a Sennheiser MK4.
This is a large [F#m] diaphragm condenser mic and it just sounds great
and [C#m] doesn't break the [F#m] bank.
So that's been my go-to room mic for a [F#m] while now and it's putting
in work.
[C#m] And then for my kick mic, [F#m] I'm running the Sennheiser [F#]
E602.
It [F#m] does a great job.
I love
the frequency response that it gives me.
It's flat enough to [Bm] give me some room to mix, but [E] it
also has a little [F#m] bit of EQ to make it sound great right out of the box.
[Bm] So those are the mics I'm
[F#m] running.
Thanks again for watching this video.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Let me know what you think
of this track.
[Bm] And if you [F#m] got any questions about the microphones I'm [E] using, cymbals, [F#m] drums,
anything, production equipment, just [D] let me know in the comments.
But [F#m] there's a great chance that
it's linked in the description of this video.
If you want to support my channel, the best thing to
do [Bm] is use the [F#m] links below.
It doesn't cost you any extra money, but it does help me out.
So
thanks so much for watching [Bm] and we'll see you guys in the next [F#m] one.
