Start Jamming...
Hey all I wanted to do a couple of very beginner level
strumming ones and changing chord exercises and
If you're one of those people that's beyond beginner level and you think I'm wasting your [A#] time with this video
Or you don't like the [N] song or whatever
Just go away and leave us alone.
We're gonna run through a beginner one for all the people who
Have been asking so this is a good exercise for getting your strumming timing down and for changing chords because there's a lot of chord
Changes even though there's only a handful of chords and one of them's an F that a lot of beginners have trouble with
So I'll run through it for it's only two and a half minutes
So [B] I'll run through it and then show you what [A#] the chords are.
I'll keep them to all first position
[B] cowboy chords
[C#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#]
[F#] [C#]
[G#] [F#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [F#] [C#]
[F#] [C#]
[F#] [C#]
[G#] [F#]
[F#] [G#]
[C#]
[F#] [C#] [G#]
[D#]
[G#]
[C#]
[F#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#]
[G#]
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#] [F#] [C#]
[G#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [G#]
[D#]
[D#m] [G#] [C#]
[F#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#]
[G#]
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#] [F#] [G#]
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[G#]
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#] [G#]
[F#] [C#]
[B] [C#] [E] So
[G#] [C#]
[N] It's actually I think tuned up a little bit from standard tuning
But it's it's e a D G B except everything's up a little bit
so you're gonna be in C and that's also another good thing to learn if you're gonna
Sit around and play along with with things
Because they probably were in standard pitch and then
Sped it up a little bit to give it a pop of your field
Do it [A#m]
but that [A#] that raised the pitch a little bit.
So your C will [C#] sound like that
Your low [F] E will be so you can tune your low E to that and then tune them all [B] according to that
So it goes the intro is C F C F, right?
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [F#] [C#]
[F#] You might do your F with just four fingers like that.
[C#] You could actually
[F#] You could buy it but
[E]
Do whatever is most comfortable for you.
I do it like that with my thumb over the top.
So it's the same
Notes covered same strings covered as a bar chord, but just done like that.
But [B] whatever's
Easiest for you.
[C#] So it goes like [F#] this
[C#] [F#] [C#]
[F#] [C#] Right bunch of it [F#] and then to [C#] C7
That's a regular [B] C with the G string covered at the third G string get it
And [F#] then to F
[C#] That just rests on a C
Now the way [E] they did it.
I'm pretty sure in fact, there's a there's a video or two of them doing [D] it
So they when they [G#] go up to G they do
So [N] they would actually play it up [G#] here either barred it
[F#]
But you could play it just like you did the F except everything's up to but for the sake of beginners
[A#] We'll do it as a regular G
[G#] [F#]
F is open [C#] C F [C#] Z [F#] G
[G#]
[F#]
[C#] [F#] [C#]
[G#] Goes into that middle eight part right G [D#] [C#] and [F#] C [C#] F C [G#] back to G
[D#] D
[D#m] D minor
[A#] You know D minor
first fret on the high E third fret on the B
[Bm] Second fret on the G.
It's just a regular D except the high E string goes down
[D#m]
[G#]
[C#]
[G#]
[D#] [D#m]
[D#] [G#]
G [D#] to D7 this time [G#]
G then back to the [C#] beginning
[F#]
[C#] [F#]
[C#] C7
[F#]
[C#] Let's see [G#] G
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#] [F#] [G#]
C
[C#]
Z
[G#] G this one it goes up to the D
[D#] One I'm in D [D#m] minor
[G#] G
Then [C#] back to the beginning.
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[B] So those are all the chords.
[D] I think
Even as a beginner you shouldn't have any trouble with it once you practice it a little bit but just it's good timing for [A#] chord changes and
getting used [E] to
Going from G to F and C to F
So good luck with it, but I don't think
