The major [Em] cause of insanity is restriction [D#] of the use of the [C#] brain and the mind.
Tridentum, it means three teeth in Latin.
The trident is the divine weapon of destruction and creation.
We just love to create, whether it be, you know, [E] song [C#] or video or [F] design or [C#] anything.
It's like the whole thing for us, [E] it's sort of that create or die premise.
[D]
[C#m] Collectively, between [A] the four of us, we do everything.
[E] There's such a clarified vision and [D#] that sort of density [G] of [C#] intention
when you're just creating [E] every aspect yourself, [F] from the logo to the music [G#] videos.
It's such a necessity today as an artist to be able to do everything [C#] yourself.
[D] [C#]
[E] I went to Icon in 2012.
[D] I was first online.
Level 3, I came in-house to the Glendale [F] location.
[G#]
Learned Ableton [G] at Icon, and that's all I [B] use now.
There's three of us that do the production, [G#m] myself, Xavier, and Andrew.
[D] Because everyone has such a [Em] sort of [F] multi-discipline of [A] being able to produce,
[C] you know, especially [F#] between those three guys, it can get passed around a [A] lot.
We don't necessarily have a [F#] specific [G] writing formula.
The song can start in any corner of the four of [C] us.
There is no right [E] or wrong way for us to do it, and we don't like to get restricted [F#] to a formula
because [A#m] the thing about writing songs is [Cm] you don't even know where they're coming from,
in terms of [G#] inspiration.
Collaborating with four people is difficult.
It's not easy, [G] but I think that sort of tension [F#] becomes sacred
in [G] terms of sometimes arguing about something and then [A#] finally agreeing upon something.
It pushes [E] everything, [C] it collides, and then it goes upwards.
Like, oh, you can tell [D#] there was some heat in the studio that day or something [B] like that.
So, yeah, there's [G#] no right or wrong way to do it.
[E] The first record was very much so man versus [Em] the world.
This record is sort of man versus himself, in a [F] weird way,
the idea of the album being shut down AXE, which [B] is a [Fm] way to sort of [E] hack your own consciousness,
a way of sort of shutting down consensus reality tunnels.
You know, there's some pretty heady sort of psychological perspectives on this new record.
We [C] knew that we had to [F] take this whole thing to a much [Em] higher level of production,
[D#] and sonically this thing [A#] [D] screams compared to the last record.
[F] You know, you hear a lot of bands' first [E] record has that sort of lo-fi sound
that has a certain amount of [F] charm to it, but I think that for [C#] us,
we just want this thing to be [C] bigger, better, stronger, and better.
[C#] [Cm] [C]
I don't want to tell you how to think, I don't want to tell [C#] you how to [C] align your beliefs in a certain direction,
[C#] but I do think that you should question your beliefs.
