I was camped out at the top of Sodor Pass,

And one morning I woke up and I had my guitar in hand.
This song kind of came to me.
But this summer when I was on patrol,

It was in late July,
and they were [N] predicting a snowfall,
so I had to go up and warn all the hikers
that were up on St.
Mary's Pass.

But then I took time to hike up the
little bit of the Pacific Rest Area.
I [F] got to enjoy the beautiful view

Mary's Pass.
[Ab] It's truly beautiful, the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
I can see why John Muir spent so much time up [Cm] there.
I mean, you [Eb] can talk about the Rocky Mountains
as being beautiful or the Appalachians,
but [Dm] I'll tell you, there's something quaint
about the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
[A] It's beautiful, [G] rugged.
You have the beautiful [D] mixed conifers,
which is one [A] thing you don't find
over the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
