I am Jesus little lamb, ever glad at [B] heart I [D] am.
Here we are at the studio, day nine [G] of recording Indelible Grace 6.
[D] And we're really excited today to have the [Fm] Rain For Roots girls.
We've got Katie Bowser, [F#] Flo Paris, and Ellie Holcomb.
[F] Sandra [D#] McCracken is also part of this [D#] group and she's going to record her part a little
later, couldn't be here this morning.
But I'm so excited to introduce these girls, if you all [C] don't know them.
[A#] We're going to sing [A] a Chris Minor hymn based on Psalm 23 called I am Jesus little lamb.
He [D#] actually put that I think on his first CD so [F#] we've known this song for [G] a long time.
It's been in the RUF hymn book ever [Cm] since the beginning.
My wife [F] has lobbied for this song on every CD and it [G] just never seemed to fit.
[C] [G] But today [Am] we're recording it finally [F] and it's going to be great because I think [C] the vibe
that these girls will bring [Em] to it is just really [Dm] cool.
Plus it's a way of introducing [Am] Indelible Grace fans [C]
to what these girls are doing.
[G] And maybe Katie will explain a little bit about [Bm] what Rain For Roots is.
Rain For Roots came out of the [A] three of us as well as our friends Sandra McCracken and
Alice Smith [E] all having these little threads of [A] conversations that wove together very naturally
about how we wanted [D] to be taking truth, [B] gospel truth and scripture into the [A] hearts of the
little ones in our lives.
And in the process while we were [D] going to start with Bible songs we ran across [E] Sally
Lloyd-Jones and her [A] Jesus Storybook Bible and then we found [D] out she had a Hug a Bible
that was covered [C#m] in lamb ephor for even smaller [Bm] children.
[E] And it was already ten [A] little poems that were versed and [D] just looked like songs waiting to happen.
[C#m] So we passed around some Hug a [Bm] Bibles and we had [E] some amazing [A] conversation with Sally.
She was all for it.
[E] She's amazing.
Amazing woman.
[A] And so she was all for us [D] doing these projects so [A] these songs happened super fast.
I think [B] everyone immediately resonated [E] with them.
[A] They do a wonderful job of talking [D] about God is the hero [C#m] and God is the one who [Bm] rescues
us and cares for us.
[A] It's sweet to sing them as [D] grown ups too.
To sing about God [C#m] is our hero and we're his [Bm] little ones.
[E] So even while [A] I'm rocking my baby still, yeah I'm still thinking about God rocking me.
