Welcome back.
Today I'm here with Superwhatever.
How are you?
Good.
Pretty swell.
How has the tour with Movements been so far?
It has been [N] crazy but really good.
There's been a lot of funny things that have happened on the [E] road, but it's been really awesome.
[N] What's been the best part so far?
Getting a new transmission.
Yeah, we had a little bit of a blowout with the transmission in our van.
It was pretty crazy, but we got to stay in a hotel and we [Dm] broke down the next one, which was nice.
With a jacuzzi.
With a jacuzzi, so that's been the highlight.
[N] In the darkness, that was the highlight.
Yeah, I'm super curious about that tour.
What's it been like opening for all the sold out shows and making new fans along the way?
Weird.
Super weird.
I've never played to pretty packers.
I think the tour is at 20 or so, so that's really blowing my mind.
It's hard to fathom.
I think after the tour I'll be like, whoa, [Dbm] that was insane.
But right now I'm just doing the thing.
It's been a [N] bit since you released your album, so how is the process of making that and releasing it and everything?
It was fun.
We recorded it in eight days, so it's been done for [B] over a year now.
But it's pretty wild because it [N] came out
I've been listening to those songs for four or five years now.
It's pretty interesting to see people singing [Bm] along, seeing people sing along.
It's pretty weird.
[Ab] [B] That's actually what's blowing my mind.
In [Eb] my head I'm like, oh, everyone knows this.
I've [N] been singing this since I was 19.
And I realize, holy crap, these are all brand new people.
This is very weird.
Even saying that right now, it is weird.
Are there any particular moments that stand out about the tour and [Abm] fans reacting to the album?
[D] I got one.
Say yours.
[N] We were in Seattle and [D] one fan came up to us.
It was just after our band broke [Eb] down.
Her group was the singer [N] Pat.
She said, hey, go support those whatever guys.
They just got their band broke down.
[B] So I was like, cool.
[Eb] I'm really stoked that she said that.
One girl came up and gave us a massive tip.
She said, hey, this is for your band.
We were like, oh, cool.
Where are you coming from?
She says, I forget the exact city, but it was somewhere in Alaska.
She had flown all the way from Alaska and was flying back that night.
She just came to see us.
She had worked on six or seven more tracks.
The dedication was insane.
It's crazy.
Thank you.
Whoever you are.
Who was your favorite?
I have like no idea.
I'll have to think of it.
Do you have one in particular?
What, like, cool fan thing?
Anything really that stands out.
I mean, I'm in Toronto right now.
I've never been here.
But it's just really like, the kids are really relating to it.
Because it's music for me to write it.
I would say, the other side.
It's really cool to experience that.
So that's what happens a lot.
I go really, really, really, really soft.
Now, since it is your first time in Toronto, how has Canada been treating you so far?
Good.
Are you painting my nails?
I don't.
They did a really good job.
Trying to fix it.
Had a sushi burrito, which was really good.
Got [Bb] tea and coffee [N] at Montemps.
Very good.
Super good.
We're coffee enthusiasts.
Coffee snobs.
So, we got some good coffee.
Our border patrol guy was a very tough heckler.
[Gb] Oh yeah.
And [D] I don't know if the right word, but he [F] was a pain in the ass.
So that was kind of cool.
Yeah.
Intro to Canada.
[E] Yeah.
Yeah, he was [Em] very fun.
Yeah.
[Eb] To wrap it up, is there anything that you'd [F] like to leave with any fans who might be watching [D] or anything?
Oh God.
For being a fan, I don't understand it yet.
I think I'm well, but I appreciate it.
Thanks for liking music.
Thanks for listening.
[A] Thanks for finding us.
Thanks for giving a [N] crap.
We'll do the things so we can keep impressing you.
We're stoked that you're stoked.
Yeah.
Thanks for watching and be sure to check out SuperWhatever and support the ones who are.
