[D]
[Eb]
[Eb]
We were born before the wind, all so young and so young.
[Bb] Everybody's born to the one, and we sing it one day.
[Eb]
[Bb] I hear the seagulls cry, smell the sea, feel the sky.
As [Bb]
[F] your soul is [Eb]
[Eb] aching in the day, [Gm]
when that far-flung [Ab] home goes.
You know I will be coming home, [G]
[Gm] when [Ab] that far-flung home goes.
I [Bb] want to hear it, [F] [Eb]
so I know it is there.
[Bb]
Heaven knows I'll never be [Eb]
home, when that
[Bb]
[Eb]
[Gm]
[Ab] far-flung home goes.
[Eb]
[F] [Eb] You know I will be coming home, [Gm]
when that [Ab] far-flung home goes.
[Bb] I want to hear it, [F] so I know [Bb] it
[Eb]
is there.
[Ab]
[Bb] I want to hear it, [Eb]
so I [Bb] know [Eb]
[Bb]
[C] it is there.
I [Bb] just want to rock your soul.
[Eb]
[F] [Eb] [C]
[Bb] [Ab] Hey, if you're sitting around the campfire and want to do the chords to it, it's in E, although
I watched another video of him [E] playing it, a live one from like, I don't know, 73 or something.
And he's [Eb] playing in E, [B] so I tuned down.
It's actually sounds in D,
[Eb] but I tuned down a couple of steps to [D] do the chord shapes, at least he was doing it down here.
[B] An E chord shape.
[Bb] So, [Eb] on and off with your
on [E] and off that G string, first fret, second fret, first fret, second fret, on a regular E chord.
So [Eb] you turn the voice, turn the verse, you know, [B] a few of those, and [Bb] then it's a regular B, B7.
[Eb] [B] During that bridge, it's [Gm] a G-sharp minor, A [Ab] major, [Eb] back to E.
[Eb]
[Gm] [Ab] Again, that's A flat minor G-sharp minor.
A, up to [Bb] B, and then you can B7 it.
[Eb]
Then the verse, I want to rock your soul.
Just like way back in the days.
And then a B [Ab] again.
[Bb] [Bb] B7, [Eb] back to E.
[E]
Really?
[F] That's all the chords [Eb] to it.
These are just [Eb] other
Those are all just [Ab] different shapes for those same chords.
So, you can kind of noodle around with it.
I play an E in here, just [F] a D moved up here.
[Eb]
We can just mess around with it.
That's what [E] happens when you tune so low, you fret out some of those higher
