Whoo!
I've been playing and rehearsing all week and then playing these shows
and man my fingers hurt.
I feel like, have you ever heard of the, there's actually a
tape of the Beatles recording, I don't know what record it is, but what would it
what was a common practice when you're recording a record is you would have
what's called a session tape where they would keep a two-track rolling all the
time in between takes and so you get all these funny outtakes from old
records like there's a really famous one called the Trogs which is a group of
brothers arguing and it really sounds a lot like me and my brothers it's really
awkward I'm like yeah I totally oh yeah no it's like da ba da ba da ba cha
I'm trying to explain this drum beat and this drum fill and it's ridiculous it
sounds a little bit like me trying to explain something to Zach is that going
no no it goes like this and me going no no no it's good but there's this there's
this session tape where George Harrison is trying to play a part and from what I
can tell this is what it happens he's trying to play the part he keeps
screwing up and you can hear him and they goes I can't play it it's too hard
it's like no no it's fine you can play no can't play it is too hard my fingers
the hurting can't play it is too hard so anyway I always think of that when my
fingers hurt I think can't play it it's too hard so anyway to get a little bit
of relief I'm going to invite my very talented youngest brother mr.
Mack
Hanson on to stage and Mac you will do the organ part everyone this is Mac not
that you don't know is there much more handsome much more talented brother with
mass comes beauty [G] so [C]
this [F#m] is gonna be like he's gonna be setting a [F#] tone just
that pad baby that pad baby that's gonna be coming in on on the song you guys
Mackey you know when I do we went as far as I know we just went over that we
went over it if he screws up it's not his fault I made him do it I also
genetically predisposed to forget everything well I really are related [G#] we
might be brothers oh yeah weird okay anyway and also genetically predisposed
to make fools of ourselves on stage and also be super cool and hot [N] smoking now
before I know I'm just completely taking over this show right now and I
know I'm enjoying it thoroughly have you guys ever just taken a look to your
right just everybody take a glance right now how are we here right now this is
this is great it's beautiful best work best job I've ever okay so this was
another request earlier in the day and also there was one request last night of
this same song so I hope you like it [G]
well just before the Sun you can see the
[C] moon mingling night [G] and day some things you can't recover until you discover
[C] where the blue and gold turns green and every day goes a little [G] longer
long [D] for something [Em] you just can't touch every [C] heart feels the [G] hunger [D] looking for
please searching for grace [C] unknown
[G] [D] a scatter like ashes [Em] living on the sand
so [G] we're
[D] looking for
[G] connected back [D] breathe down I [C] just [G] got the lyrics that
were the non [Bm]-final lyrics [F#] I [G] need to update my damn files look down and win
no that's not right [F#m] completely screwed me up here we go ready [A#] one two three
[A] [C]
[G]
[F#]
now the novel the lyric has completely got [G] me screwed up okay here we go
something about a chalk line right this makes me feel [F#] so much better about my
life [C] this [G] is this is a daily I'm looking at Logan right up there [F#] and he knows I
forget the words to [C] my songs on a daily basis [G] and I have written very few songs comparative yes okay
dying on the free [C] breathing in the smoking [G] gun picking up the pieces [F#] trying
to conceive of [C] us from the walls we [G] want every day was a little longer [D] longing
for [Em] something you just can't touch every [C] heart feels [G] the hunger [D] Oh looking for
grace searching for grace [C]
unknown
[G]
[D] like [Em] living on a turn in [C] the [G]
soul
[D] we're looking for a place searching for a place
anytime [Em] the silence [C] starts to feel like home
[D] well I can [E] hear my heart beat
[C] Oh [A] looking for a place [G] trying to find space [D] scattered like [Em] ashes searching for
grace [C] which can fall [G] trying to find space [D] scattered like ashes [Em] searching for grace [C] unknown
[G] [D] scattered like ashes [Em] living on a turning [C] [G] stone
[D] looking for grace searching for grace unknown
we
[N] did it thank you see he made me screwing up so much more entertaining
there's a beauty in whatever is happening here this is I mean to take another moment
away from Mike this I'm cool with it well I have for years so let's talk about straws
and turtles as much as there's a there's this whole thing about romanticizing what
we do up here what these guys do I've been romanticizing in my entire life I feel like
it's very romantic oh it's super romantic I mean look especially this moment look into
my eyes but the truth is what's really cool about this is [Gm] we're all here in this together
[N] and you get to actually see that we are very fallible human beings and remarkably dumb
so with that take it away with brothers like that who needs stand-up comedians
