[C#] Hi,
[E] [D]
[C#] I'm Jack Robben, I'm from the UK and [G#] I play the blues [A] and I love to play [Bm] slide guitar.
[C#] I've been playing since I was a little boy, [F#] very influenced by my father [C#m] and his musical influences on [B] me.
[C#] [B]

[E] [C#m]
[E] [C#m]
I think [C#] the main difference with playing on the street is that [F#] you're [C] drawing people in [C#m] from nothing.
[Dm] So you [D] have to play quite explosively and it has to be interesting.
[G] [G#m]
With doing a [F#] show that you've already sold tickets for, that's always nice because
[G] [G#] people are expecting good things and you just go out and give it to them.
[A]
I think in [G] another way though, the busking thing, I always try and be mindful of it because it's [G#] a good mentality to have that you're always on [C#m] for impressive people.

[A] I feel like [C#] all the motion is in your fingers right here.
[G] The second you pick something up that's slightly bulkier, it becomes more of a wrist action here.
[C] This is what I noticed.
[E] So the dexterity [G] of being able to hit it harder, [Gm] to be able to
[E] use it [A] to shake for vibrato, [C#]
it's [Fm] perfect.
[A#] I can't believe nobody else has ever used one.
[D] I don't see anybody else do it.
[C#]
But with it being hollow too, I think it [G] gives you an interesting tone.
[C#] [F#]
It's [C#] definitely got a vibe.

[F] I come from Lincolnshire in [G] the UK and that [F] is pretty much on a parallel with [Gm] Holland and Amsterdam where we are right [C] now.
If you take [G] a ferry straight [D] across, [G#] it's on the east [C] coast and it's very rural.
[G] It's very beautiful and it's a very [G#] inspiring place to write.
[A#] [G#]
[D] [Bm] I [A] think almost the less there is around you, the more you use your imagination.
[D]
For me, [G] I [D] always get a lot of writing done when I'm in a [A] less urban [C#] place than car [C#m] alarms going off every five minutes.

[C#]
[C#m] Am I more a singer [B] or a guitarist?
I'm a [C#m] songwriter.
[A] [B]
And a performer.
[C#m] I feel like [A] I could [G] go out and just play a slight guitar or I could be in a band and just sing.
[B] But for me, the beauty of music [D] is when the two things come together.
[B] If you're playing your own songs or if [C#] you're playing something that means something to you from the heart,
and you're playing and singing, I don't think there's anything more powerful in the whole world.
