Hello my name's Jake Borg and this first song is called Trouble Town.

Jake and the board make trouble, [Em]
smoke until our eyes will bleed, a spark will pop the seat.
Hear the sirens down the street, the kids get light on their feet, or they'll be in the back seat.
You [Bm] are sitting on the [A] pavement, boy you missed your payment, and they're gonna [E] find you soon.
If there's [Bm] a feeling in the rain, [A] if there's a little bit of pain, man you're the one it [E] happens to.
When I talk to getting out, I only hear the laughter loud, it's [B] got an ugly echo.
[Em]
[E] Somewhere there's a secret road to take me far [Em] away, I know until then I am hollow.
In [A] this trouble town, troubles [E] I found.
In [A] this trouble town, [E] fools I found.
[Bm] You are sitting on the pavement, [A] boy you missed your payment, and they're gonna [E] find you soon.
If [Bm] there's a feeling in the street, if [A] there's a feeling I can feel, you're the one it [E] happens to.
Stuck in speed bump city, where the only thing that's pretty is the thought of getting out.
Where did Trouble Town come from originally?
A lot of it is based on Clifton, yeah, and also a lot of other council estates.
A lot of my other songs, they were quite soft and about loving girls, and I thought I needed something with a bit more attitude.
[Eb] What's better to write about than Clifton?
And next thing you know you're performing on national television on the Review Show, which was a bit of a special moment for me, so how was it for you?
That came as a massive shock, especially when it was live as well.
And I think I hit a bum note when I was on TV, because I could see myself on there, [Ab] I was panicking a bit.
I didn't notice that.
I hit a [G] slight bum note and then I just thought I've got to screw my head on here and pull it together.
And then it was alright, and you'd think it would drag on for ages, minutes, it seemed like hours, but it went so quick, it was really fast if anything.
Just also it being the first TV performance was an achievement for me as an artist, I thought.
But it was very enjoyable and I enjoyed doing it very much.
Can you identify a highlight since you were here that very first time, the first time that we saw you on the beat?
Is there one moment that stands in your mind as being the time that you'd arrived or the time that you particularly enjoyed?
Well, I felt I'd arrived when I first did my session here, to be honest.
Oh!
No, I'm not just saying it.
Just being in the BBC studio was quite baffling to me, especially being as young as I was.
And then to go on and get a deal and stuff, it shocked me, I hadn't quite registered it, to be honest.
Have you met any other top musicians since you signed your deal?
Yeah, I have met a lot of top musicians.
I've wrote with a couple of them and I've also learnt a lot of new things from those people as well, which is very helpful.
And a step forward in my songwriting, hopefully.
This next song's called Someone Told Me and it's going to be the B-side to the first song, Trouble [E] Time.
