[Am] I still [C] walk the street [C] at night, _ _
[Am] searching [C] for reasons why.
For a lot of people that know me, know that I grew up singing in a family group, Southern
Gospel Family Group called the Crabb Family.
We've had numerous number one songs as a family.
You know, we've won a lot of Dove Awards and things like that [D] in Southern Gospel music
and also [C] in different forms of [G] music.
Then I kind of went out on my own.
[F] It's [C] difficult.
I want my [G] song to play in a different [Am] format.
That's what I've [F] always wanted to do, [C] and it's something that I've been hungry [G] for.
And [Am] with Provident [D] and this wonderful team, [G] I think it's going to happen. _ _
[Am] It [F] _ _ [C] _ _ _ [Abm] _
was a [E] huge blessing to get to work with [B] Jason Ingram and Paul Mabry.
As an artist, [Abm] it was a dream, not just because I'm a fan of their [B] work, but also their talent.
I'd never been a part of that.
And [B] you know, they didn't try to just take what I do and totally [Abm] twist it up and make
it something different.
[E] They took their [B] gifts and applied with what I do and said, I think this maybe [Abm] would be the direction.
[E] With producers, a lot of times they'll leave your [B] ideas out.
It's like one way.
And they involved me with the songwriting and also with the production and with vocals
and [Abm] all of that.
And so [B] that made it really cool.
It's so fun to start digging in with an artist on their [Abm] record because _ [E] they're exploring
[B]
what's in their own heart and [Gb] you get to come alongside and [Abm] bring what's on your heart and
really watch the two things come [E] together and create a song that [B] wouldn't have existed
if [Abm] the two things weren't happening together.
[E] I think everything is like figuring out [B] what an artist wants to [Gb] say for a record.
But I think for Jason as well, it was [Abm] figuring out what this new season looked like.
[E] And it meant kind of a new sound as well for [B] him, which I'm really excited about.

_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ [Bm] With [D] this record, I hope a different demographic of people that I have not been accustomed
to grasp a hold and see my heart.
And that is all about Jesus.
[D] But also they see that [Bm]
I'm passionate about this style of music as well.
[D] You can't be complacent with where you're at.
And so I love searching out [Bm] different avenues, different ways to reach people.
And that's what we're doing with this music [D] that God has allowed me to do, is to create
[G] and for artists and for writers and for musicians, then you're looking [D] for that next thing.
You're looking for that next avenue.
You're searching for a new opportunity, [G] a new way to [D] reach people for Jesus.
[Bm] And that's what we're doing.
We just want to broaden [A] our reach.
We want to [G] go out in different ways and not [D] alienate anything that we've done, but just reach further.
That should be the heart of every Christian alive today.
We just want to reach further for the Lord.
That's what I really want to [Bm] accomplish with this record. _
