Overcome was one of the songs where a friend of mine wrote and I heard it and I was like, I've got to sing this song.
I said, what is the the background behind it?
And he said the New Life shootings in Colorado Springs.
He wrote this right after that and he said the night that we played it,
there's a part in the bridge that says, we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony,
everyone overcome.
And it was one of those things where he said that there was such a healing that night from that.
And I felt something special.
I remember I sang in the studio and I started singing that part and my dad was in the back of the studio.

And Brown, the producer, was sitting there and I started singing this and I started getting really emotional.
And he started raising his hands and my dad stood up and I just lost it.
I just broke down because I was just thinking about the depth of what Christ has done.
