See, [C] I have given [G] into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and [Cm] the mighty men of Pharaoh.
[F] And [G] ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, [C] and go round about the city once.
Thus shalt thou do six days.
_ _ And seven priests [Cm] shall bear before the ark [G] seven trumpets of rams horns.
[Cm] And the seventh day ye shall compass [D] the city seven [G] times, and the priests shall [C] blow the trumpets.
[Gm] And it shall come to pass [Fm] that when they make a long blast with the rams [Gm] horn,
and when ye hear the sound of the [Db] trumpets, all [Eb] the people shall shout with a great shout,
[Gb] and the wall of the city shall [Eb] fall down flat.
And the [Cm] people shall ascend up, [Bb] every man [Gm] straight before him.
For the Lord hath said unto [C] Joshua, Shout, for I have [Cm] given you a city.

_ [B] _ The inhabitants of Jericho were [Em] perverted by sin and corrupt.
_ Surrounded by [Bm] walls so thick [Em] that chariots [E] raced on top.
_ [B] With ladders, catapults, and spearheads [E] readied, [Em] and blazing in the sun,
[Gb] the armies of Israel stood [Bm] waiting for [Em] commands of war to come.
For thirty-nine [D] years Joshua was [Em] trained under Moses' righteous hand.
And it was Joshua who led nearly three million Israelites into the promised land. _
Now Moses was dead, and the real [D] test came.
Could [Em] he simply follow God's word,
and do something that to the natural [D] mind would [Em] be utterly absurd?
[Eb] Without Moses to ask advice of, [Gb] or an advisory committee,
[A] God said, The walls will fall.

Just tell them, Shout, for I have given you the [Cm] city.

[Cm] Now God was putting in operation a [Bb] principle of war.
Setting [Cm] at our disposal weaponry that drops [Bb] demons to the floor.
[Cm] Something with tremendous power that [Bb] assassinates fear and doubt.
It's the [Cm] high praises of victory [Bb] unleashed by a shout.
[Cm] When David played his songs of praise, [Bb] demons fled from Saul.
As [Cm] Paul and Silas worshipped God, the [Bb] chains began to fall.
[Cm] It lifts us above the circumstance, and [Bb] lets God's power flow.
The [Cm] shout of victory binds the devil with [Bb] chains that won't let go.
[Eb] So with the [Gb] confidence of warring [Bb] angels, Israel stood stone [Db] ready.
To [Bb] obey Joshua, [Gb] speak to their mountain, and shout,
[Abm] for God [A] was giving them the city.

Six days they marched around Jericho, and the last day they marched seven.
[Dbm] While the Canaanites [A] jeered from their evil walls, [C] Israel's faith reached heaven.
[E] Before any manifestation, [B] with every brick still in place,
eyeball to eyeball, they looked fear dead in its face.
[E] They didn't wait to feel some earthquake, [B] or to see a lightning flash.
They didn't need to hear of the antifrumble, [Am] or a mind-blowing crash.
[E] They prepared their [A] souls for victory.
Now it's God's turn to come through.
They screamed [C] their lungs out, simply because they [B] believed God's word was [Bb] true.
So, _ [Cm] with the [Db] high praises of God in their [C] mouths, came a [Db] massive,
there came a [A] volcanic sound, and Israel [Gbm] shouted in victory.
[A] And they shouted in faith, [F] and the [Gm] walls came [C] tumbling down. _ _ _ _ _

_ Sin can't survive in the anointed, moving, spontaneous praise [G] of man.
The devil's torment and sickness can't function when we [C] worship and when we pray.
Because the church of the living God is still alive and well today.
[G] _ Now how many here within the sound of my voice are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ?
_ [Cm] You ready to tear down walls that have held you captive tonight?
[Gb] You sick and tired of being down and out, and you want to be up and coming?
You ready to ransack the kingdom of darkness and set some devils running?
[B] You ready to let some strongholds fall that have never fallen before?

But with a shout of victory on your lips, with praise declaring [A] war,
to leap up on your feet right now, make a joyful noise and praise the Lord!
