I got to play a June Carter Passion movie about her life that's coming out on the 27th.
So, uh, it was really a cool experience.
I got to open for June and June way back when in the, I think in 99.
I was in England at the Warlauer Hall and I was such a big [Eb] fan of both of them.
I was really tickled that I got [N] to play with them.
June was so nice.
I remember hugging her and she smelled great.
I was like, you smell great?
And she was like, I love you.
[F] She wouldn't let me leave without like [Eb] digging through her bag and like forcefully making me take it.
She's just a [Ab] really sweet, warm, very maternal person.
I had no idea years later I [D] would actually be [Bb] playing her in a movie [C] about her life.
It was really an [E] honor.
I know a lot of people don't realize she's a comedian.
[Bb] [Eb] Part of the famed Carter family.
They were really one of the founders of country music.
And maybe all her mother was actually the [N] founder of the modern guitar playing.
Both country and rock and roll really.
She was a comedian at a young age and supporting her family and wrote songs as well.
And she wrote Ring of Fire, which a lot of people don't know.
[G] So in [Ab] the movie, [Em] I sang in [Ab] character because she has a very different voice than mine.
So I seemed more like her in the movie.
But I do like this song so much I decided to start tinkering with it. [G] Woo!
